The cottage has one off-street parking space at the end of the front garden and further on-street parking is available directly outside the cottage.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

A beautiful barn conversion in picturesque Stonor Valley, 10 mins from Henley-on-Thames. The barn is surrounded by a 5 acre garden shared with our farmhouse and enjoys spectacular views. Use of tennis court & indoor pool.
As you enter the barn through tall glass doors, you come into an open-plan sitting room, with double height ceiling and a comfortable seating area. To the right and still part of this open plan room, is a dining table that seats up to 12 and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven, hob and a dishwasher. Also on the ground floor are two double bedrooms and a bathroom. Upstairs, the barn is made up of two large mezzanine rooms accessed by two staircases flanking the fire place. To the right above the kitchen and dining area is a large family bedroom (described under Accommodation) and to the left on the mezzanine is a Games Room, with a full sized billiard table. The fire place is a focal point of the open plan living room and is in good working order, logs will be provided although the barn is centrally heated. There is no washing machine or tumble dryer but a laundry service can be provided at an additional cost by the owner. Accommodation: This property is advertised for 12, it is ideal for that number if shared between two families with children but for an adult group wanting their own space and privacy we would recommend it for a group of 6, two in each of the three rooms. It can be scaled up further in terms of beds to a maximum of 14 on sofa beds (x2 singles) and truckles (single bed in Master with one truckle below) and doubles (x 5 across x 3 rooms) but this is not recommended for a comfortable stay. Please note there is only one bathroom! The bathroom is spacious, with loo, sink, bath and separate wet-room shower. The accommodation comprises: x 1 double bedroom that sleeps 3 (1 double bed and a single bed, there is a truckle under this single bed so could work for two children) x 1 double bedroom that sleeps 2 (1 double bed) x 1 family bedroom / children's room - this is located on the mezzanine level and sleeps 7 (x 3 double beds and one single sofa bed). Please note that this is on a mezzanine and open to the living area below, it is perhaps a consideration for those with young children who are light sleepers and likely to be disturbed by light or noise from the main sitting room below. A travel cot is also available for small infants. In the Games Room there is a further single sofa bed if required. Tennis Court: This is right next door to the guest house and can be used by guests as they please. Swimming Pool: The indoor pool is attached to the farmhouse and must be accessed via the house, therefore it will be offered to guests between the hours of 8am and 7pm. Pool towels are provided.
The Stonor Valley is situated in the Chilterns just 10 minutes drive from Henley-on-Thames and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village of Pishill, is charming, it has a local pub, The Crown Inn and a 12th century church. This is a dream location for walkers and cyclists. We provide a map to help you plan walking and cycling routes. For those seeking a little culture, we are also just a mile away from neighbouring village, Stonor where the impressive country house, Stonor Park is situated amidst a stunning deer park. The house and garden are open to the public at restricted times, so check their website before planning your visit. Whilst this is a rural area, there is no shortage of good places to eat from Michelin starred restaurants to honest local pubs, many within walking distance and all listed in the information booklet, a pdf of which can be sent to you prior to your stay. If you are celebrating a special occasion, we have two 2-star Michelin restaurants in easy reach although early booking is essential. - Raymond Blanch's 'Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons' in Great Milton is 20 minutes away - Tom Kerridge's 'Hand and Flowers' in Marlow is 15 minutes away and his more casual dining tapas bar 'The Coach' is also in Marlow is great (they do not accept reservations and are very busy on Saturdays). Otherwise, for more down to earth dining, there are so many wonderful pubs to choose from serving restaurant standard food to honest pub grub. Henley-on-Thames and Marlow are both beautiful historic towns, boasting lovely walks along the banks of the Thames, good retail therapy with many boutique shops and a good selection of restaurants. Henley has a charming cinema, Regency theatre and the Water and Rowing Museum that alongside a history of rowing, tells the tale of Kenneth Grahame's 'Wind in the Willows' inspired by this stretch of the river. Boat trips, boat and canoe hire are possible from both Marlow and Henley. There are lots of events going on in the area and Pishill is the ideal place to stay of you are visiting: Henley Royal Regatta, Henley Festival, Henley Literary Festival, Garsington Opera (now located on Getty Estate just a few miles away), Ascot Races (40 minutes).

The room is equipped with a rain shower, WC, heated towel rail, and washbasin. Alcove shelving provides space for personal items, or you can light tealight candles to create a distinctively spa-like feel. (Note: there is a step up into the Wet Room from the hallway.) Bedroom Three (bunkbed room) Overlooking the front garden, the bunkbed room is a fabulous room for children, with lots of space to sleep and play. The room has a play table and chairs, an A-frame blackboard with chalks, a mini rocking horse and a pirate’s toy castle! It is a bright and airy room, but blackout blinds as well as curtains will ensure a good night’s sleep! The bedroom has a wardrobe with chest of drawers, which also houses the iron and ironing board. The second wardrobe is an airing cupboard where guests will find a travel cot, baby changing mat and clothes airer. Upstairs Mezzanine Sitting Area Stairs lead up from the Living Room to a mezzanine level close to the eaves of the Quail House. At the top of the stairs is a delightful seating area, with a two-seater sofa, double pouf, table and lamp. A unique and beautifully designed barn with a large, open plan living area and a mezzanine sleeping deck. A recently built and timber clad, giving it a rustic and original feel. The barn comes with its own private landscaped terrace, providing excellent views over the fields beyond. Situated in the idyllic Cotswold village of Little Tew, a stone's throw from Soho Farmhouse.
There is a mezzanine sleeping deck with lovely round window looking over the orchard and fields beyond. This is accessible by ladder only, so please do not book this if this is at all challenging for you. The barn was designed to mimic a traditional barn with double crittal windows on opposite sides, allowing wonderful views and lots of natural light. The space downstairs has a long central table with a well-equipped kitchen area (comprising all the usual appliances) and a wetroom with a colourful encaustic tiled floor. The other end has a large comfy L-shaped sofa to relax on. There is a sound system which you can plug in any device and Sky, Netflix, Spotify etc are all accessible through the TV.
Little Tew is a pretty, quiet village in the Cotswolds. It has no shops or pub, so it is best to have some form of transport.

  • Wspaniała lokalizacja i piękne otoczenie do przebudowy stodoły.

Całkowicie polecam pobyt, Fiona zawsze wychodzi poza i poza. Dwa razy wcześniej wynająłem jej drugi domek i uroczy i wspaniały gospodyni.

  • Piękne miejsce. Bardzo mili i pomocni Ludzie. Polecam to miejsce!

Mogłem z łatwością wejść do miasta i wzdłuż ścieżki Thames Rivere. Łodzie do wynajęcia są dostępne w pobliżu. Rachel przypadkowo spotkała moją taksówkę w rogu i uprzejmie zaprowadziła mnie do słodkiej sypialni i łazienki na parterze, wyjaśniając cechy nieruchomości.

    Susan2019-09-03T00:00:00Z

    Costin2019-08-30T00:00:00Z

The room is very quiet and has a comfortable bed, table with lamp, desk, chair and wardrobe. If you would like both rooms, please book the single room on this listing and the double room on the other listing. We have a brand new bathroom with wet-room style shower, with toilet and washbasin for the exclusive use of our guest in the single room except when our grown-up children come home for the weekend, or sometimes if we have personal guests. Our double room has an en-suite shower room. Our house is in leafy Summertown, a prestigious suburb of Oxford just 2 miles from the city centre. The bus stop is 3 minutes walk away and the journey into the city centre takes 10/15 minutes. We also have a free car parking space where you can safely leave your car all day. A pub serving good food is 10 minutes walk away and a 15 minute walk brings you to the many restaurants and shops in Summertown . The famous 'Trout' pub of Inspector Morse fame is a short drive away. Helena is a historian and former tour guide and so we can give you the 'Inside Oxford' view. Guests have access to the kitchen for breakfast. Long term guests may use the microwave to warm food in the early evenings by arrangement. We enjoy talking to our guests over breakfast, and giving advice about places to visit. We like our guests to feel welcome and at home. Our neighbourhood is very quiet and safe. We have great local shops and restaurants and a neighbourhood pub all within walking distance. The bus stop to the city centre is 3 minutes' walk from our house. The bus to Blenheim Palace also stops very close by.
We are in a quiet, safe and prestigious suburb to the north of the city centre, with easy access to the centre and the university by bus or bike. We are also within easy walking distance of Jury's Inn if you are attending a conference there.

  • Helena i Jerry byli wspaniałymi gospodarzami. Stworzyli ciepłą, przyjazną i pełną światła atmosferę. Podobało mi się budzenie się w słońcu w moim pokoju i śniadanie z Jerry i Heleną. Zapewniają świetne towarzystwo i robią niesamowity chleb!

    Sandra2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
Jeszcze raz dziękuję, Jeremy i Helena !! Sprawiłeś, że moja wizyta była niezapomniana.

  • Moja pierwsza wizyta w Airbnb w North Oxford.

    Vilhelm2018-06-18T00:00:00Z

Upper Oddington and Lower Oddington are traditional Cotswold villages, which together form the civil parish of Oddington. Both villages are very peaceful, being located on a quiet country road, away from the busier main roads of the Cotswolds. Oddington is known for the fine Church of St Nicholas. It was originally a cell of St Peter's Benedictine abbey in Gloucester, which was ceded in 1157 to the See of York and exchanged with the Crown in 1547. The Norman south aisle probably represents the original nave. The church was all but abandoned among its fields in 1852 and has been little altered since. It contains wall paintings of the Doom on the north wall of the nave, dating to the early 15th century, which were whitewashed over in Puritan times, before being restored by a local resident in the 20th century. Scenes depicted include the Acts of Mercy, the Seven Deadly Sins and Pride.

This is a small room with a double bed in our family home. Our house is a little old but still has its little charm. Transport to town and hospitals are very good. There is a chinese take-away a minute walk from the house and a corner shop everywhere. You can walk to nearest shopping centre (cowley centre) for 15-20 mins and there’s gyms there too! Aldi and tesco superstore/ boots/ M&S Food hall is very close as well. Looking forward to your stay!
this room has a very comfortable bed and lots of storage cupboards inside. also there is a small fridge to keep drinks and small food items :)
The neighbourhood is very accessible to most amenities and commodities. Public transport is very easy, grocery and gym is in walking distance! There are two parks close to the house and we have a parking space if you have a car. Brookes university accommodation is right across the street so it might get a little noisy on friday nights when the students wait for the bus right in front of the house! But otherwise the place is very safe and quiet!

Stonesfield as a quiet Cotswold village in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' close to the beautiful historic town of Woodstock (exceptionally pretty, lots of places to east and drink and Blenheim Palace with all it offers). We are very fortunate to have a General Store that is open seven days a week and a very well liked local pub, 'The White Horse'. Local land owners, including the Blenheim Place Estate have been generous with access and there is an excellent network of footpaths from literally outside your front door. You could have a lovely break including visits to Blenheim Palace and Woodstock, lots of country walks and stop in a selection of pubs and cafes without using your car. And you can mix walking with using the local buses including an hourly service to Woodstock taking around ten minutes (except Sundays) You really can step away from a busy life and... relax. Those who don't usually call themselves walkers seem to enjoy exploring here on foot whilst many keen walkers and cyclists already have this part of the Cotswolds on their radar.

The Pavilion has unrivalled views of the beautiful rolling countryside. Full-length french windows running the length of the property afford a 180 degree panorama of farmland and woods stretching five miles in every direction. The bucolic setting is second to none: although on the edge of a quintessential Cotswold village, here you will feel at one with nature, away from it all. Built in the 1990s in a style reminiscent of the colonial era, the Pavilion was, until recently, a writer's retreat. The interior has been refurbished to the highest standard by designer Susie Stocks, whose restful palette complements the landscape beyond. There is a verandah along its southern side, with a private decked area with lawn at one end and a patio the other. The fields beyond are 'Footpath Central', where it is not unusual to happen upon deer. This holiday cottage at a glance Sleeps two guests. A studio space with a separate tiled shower room.
