“There’s a fantastic hiking trail that goes along the Tohickon Creek in the middle of town. To get there, you turn right at the end of our driveway, walk down to the stop sign, cross over the bridge with the large sculptures on the right, turn right on the other side of the bridge to cross on a mini-bridge, and then turn right into a little parking area for the area next to the creek. The path picks up from the parking lot and you can have a scavenger hunt looking for all of the turtles some local sculptor placed along the beginning of the path. It’s a really nice hike and we probably have only gone 30-45 mins in before stopping to play along the creek with picnic and then turning around. Swim in Tohickon Creek - Walk down steepish path through woods. Swim in creek and sit on big boulders as water rushes around you. Free. Requires some adventurousness and sturdy shoes. Closer than the Tohickon Pool, but on the same route (as you go uphill on Cafferty Road a bit, you can park on left side of road (little area allows 2-3 cars) across from graveyard. ”
