“West Rock State Park is large with some gorgeous trails to the top and along the Ridge that will keep you exploring for years! It is a Hot Spot for birds as they breed here and to pairs of Peregrine Falcons call it home year round. Ravens nest here as well as numerous other birds, so it is pristine habitat, with Wintergreen lake an easy flat hike and views fro the South end parking lot on a clear day can go clear across to Long Island, NY. ON weekends in the summer you can drive up. The REGICIDES TRAIL to the North takes you to the Historic 3 Judges Cave, where you can see the place where the 3 Judges, Whalley, Goffe and Dixwell hid after they fled from England. Google it!”

“Located right across the street from The OASIS, Edgewood hosts a Farmers Market every Sunday (Spring-Fall), it just recently was designated an Urban Oasis because of the birds and habitat. Its one of the best Hot Spots for birders to see some pretty rare birds in season. The new Skate Park is hip for watching urban boarding, it has biking trails, hiking trails and a great cafe across from the parking lot: MANJARES for an amazing meal, coffee or pastry. ”
