“The French Quarter is the city’s historic heart, famous for its vibrant nightlife and colorful buildings with cast-iron balconies. Crowd-pleasing Bourbon Street features jazz clubs, Cajun eateries and raucous bars serving potent cocktails. Quieter streets lead to the French Market, with gourmet food and local crafts, and to Jackson Square where street performers entertain in front of soaring St. Louis Cathedral.”

“The Audubon Insitute's nationally recognized aquarium is well-worth a visit. It's just next to the Canal Street Ferry Terminal and Woldenberg Park, an expansive riverfront venue. The Aquarium and the park are right next door to the historic French Quarter.”

“New Orleans is famous for the Hurricane (drink), but it should be known for the Monsoon, served up at Port of Call (and at its sister restaurant Snug Harbor on Frenchmen street if you want to skip the lines). The Monsoon is sure to give you the buzz for the day. But the juicy burger and stuffed baked potato is a can’t miss when paired with the Monsoon. Warning: only drink one or your next morning will….suck. Favorites: Monsoon, Burger, Baked Potato ”

Klub jazzowy
“If you're looking for Jazz, look no further. You can catch any of the multiple nightly shows (lines begin a little early) and here's a tip - the pillows at the front of the venue are seats and frequently not taken, so sneak right up front!”

Bar Dive
“Laffite’s is known for being the oldest bar in the United States. You certainly won’t find it well-lit, as it only uses natural light (sunlight and candles) to illuminate the bar. ”

“Crescent Park runs along the Mississippi River for the length of our neighborhood. It's a lovely place to take a walk, bike ride, or just have a picnic. There are two entrances to the park in our neighborhood: (1) the rusty rainbow bridge at Piety and Chartres street or (2) at the wharf crossing at Pauline and Chartres. Both have free public parking. A third entrance/exit at Marigny and N. Peters street will put you within a few blocks of the French Quarter. (The Pauline and Marigny entrance/exits are both handicap accessible.)”

“Louis Armstrong Park is a 32-acre park located in the Tremé neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana, just across Rampart Street from the French Quarter. In the 1960s a controversial urban renewal project leveled a substantial portion of the Tremé neighborhood adjacent to Congo Square. ”

“Home of the Hurricane (and headache). Everyone needs to check this place out, but everyone must check out the dueling piano bar. Two pianists play requests while the drunk audience sings along”

Restauracja kreolska/cajun
“When people come into town and ask “we want quintessential New Orleans food”, this is where we take our guests. The 21 and over restaurant has become more popular over the years, but the line is worth the wait (get there early to avoid). It’s pretty rough looking on the inside, but the food is as good as it gets. True jambalaya, red beans and rice, fried chicken...yum. (they have a restaurant cat and dog that just might happen to be hanging out) Favorites: Taste plate (Fried chicken, Gumbo, Rabbit Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice) ”
