“In January 2015, Ellsworth Kelly gifted the Blanton a design concept for his most monumental work: the first and only building the artist designed, as well as the last project before his death in December 2015. The stained glass in this building is super cool! One of Austin’s better museums. ”

“moreanartscenter.org I recommend a tour of Chihuly”s Collection, the various periods or styles over several decades. Gorgeous installations with lighting that sets off the colors. Don’t miss the film, as it gives insight as to how the sculptures are a result of teamwork, almost a choreographed dance with molten glass and 2000 degree F furnaces. Admission included a live glass blowing demonstration at the Morean Arts Center.”

Park
“Refreshing 72 degree waters of Blue Spring greet visitors at this gem along the St. Johns River. Conservation measures can produce astounding results. In 1970, two years before Blue Spring State Park was established, researchers tracked 14 manatees in the spring run. By 2005, after years of park improvements and manatee protection efforts, wintering manatee numbers exceeded 200 and by 2018, that number skyrocketed to a record 485. Besides "sea cows," fish abound in the spring run, and these attract a variety of wading birds, ospreys, eagles and kingfishers. To see the park’s wonders, one can hike along the spring run or on the 4.5-mile Pine Island Trail. One can also launch a canoe or kayak, rent one at the park or take a guided river boat cruise.”

Library
“The Revolution Square (Plaza de la Revolucion) with all the surrounding buildings, which are the seat of all ministries and government departments, including the Biblioteca Nacional (the National Library), is the sociopolitical centre of the country. The square is the 31st largest city square in the world, measuring 72,000 square meters. It has been notable as being where many political rallies take place and Fidel Castro addressed Cubans and delivered many of his long speeches. The square is dominated by the José Martí Memorial (pronounced the national hero), which features a 109 m (358 ft) tall obelisk and an 18 m (59 ft) statue of Jose Marti. Located behind the memorial is the Palace of the Revolution, the seat of the Cuban government and Communist Party. The construction of the square and the José Martí monument commenced during the Presidency of Fulgencio Batista. The square and the memorial were completed in 1959 (the year Fidel Castro came to power). It was originally called Plaza Cívica (Civic Square). After the Cuban Revolution (1959), it was renamed "Plaza de la Revolución" or "Revolution Square." An elevator allows access to the top of the memorial, at 109 m one of the tallest points in the city. Do not hesitate and take the lift up to the top of the obelisk. You'll have a 360 degrees view of Havana. ”
