“Ole Smokey moonshine is made in house and working still is visible for anyone who likes to see moonshine being made. They offer samples of our moonshine to make sure you like it before you buy it. Some of our products they offer are our Original Moonshine as well as White Lightnin, Moonshine Cherries, Apple Pie, Blackberry, Peach, Hunch Punch, Blue Flame, and several seasonal flavors that will change often. They also offer shirts, hats, glassware, and lots of food products such as BBQ Sauces, Salsas, Jams, Jellies, Butters, and more which are made with our shine as well. They offer live bluegrass music daily on our outdoor stage. Pull up one of our rocking chairs and sit a spell with us, and then you can take home the most authentic souvenir of the Smoky Mountains, Ole Smoky Moonshine.”

“Anakeesta is absolutely worth the wait in line and the price to catch these one-of-a-kind views! Whether you want to soak it all in from a suspended bridge or prefer to enjoy the view comfortably seated in an Adirondack chair, you will thank yourself for making the trip up the mountainside. The half star deduction is for small glitches in customer service that need to be worked through. Insider Tips: Although you will likely enjoy Anakeesta from your first experience up the mountain, it’s a place you’re going to want to visit time and again. Parts of the village are under construction with plans to open a restaurant, amphitheater, and single rail mountain coaster. It appears to be growing into itself with management receptive to criticism and suggestions. If you have kids with you, make sure to keep an eye (or hand) on them around the Adirondack chairs, fire pit, and the Interpretive Trail as there are no rails to protect them from falls. That said, make it a point to allow them to play in the Children’s Treehouse Village Playground where interconnected multiple bridges are designed to build strength and confidence. By the time your children are done crawling through the tube net, climbing walls and going on a bird hunt, they might just be pooped out enough to nap during the ride back down the mountain. In Gatlinburg for a family reunion or get-together with old school friends? Anakeesta offers group rates that are worth checking out.”

“SMB is the oldest craft brewery in East Tennessee. Our Gatlinburg location opened in 1996 when the idea of local microbrews served fresh was, well, unpopular. People would order a Miller Lite or a Budweiser. When we would tell them we only served beer brewed in house, they would get upset.”

“If you make it out to Gatlinburg, this is a must stop. They serve a variety of food to satisfy everyone! From pizza to sandwiches, steaks and even chicken you really can't go wrong! Great for lunch (especially during the week when it's not crowded). It can be quite noisy and food may take a while (during dinnertime). They serve high-quality ingredients and it really shows!”

“Get your elastic banded pants on! You’re going to need all the room you can spare to properly enjoy this delicious breakfast stop located in the heart of Gatlinburg, TN. From the best made-from-scratch biscuits we’ve tried on the entire strip, to inch-thick golden brown pancakes hearty enough to satisfy even the most die-hard pancake fanatic, the giant skillet outside isn’t compensating – they’re bragging. Here are some favorites that you’ve gotta try when you visit – The Black Bear Camp Skillet – A delicious combo featuring Pecan Smoked Bacon, generous slice of country or sugar cured ham, a large sausage link that could rival most franks, and 2 farm fresh eggs cooked up any style. Served with a side of fresh made sausage gravy, an enormous freshly made biscuit, grits (cheese, plain or brown sugar) as well as an enormous inch thick pancake and a bowl of fruit. It’s not just breakfast – it’s a feast. Postmasters Favorite – A true southern favorite. Chicken fried steak, home style sausage gravy, 2 farm fresh eggs any style. Served with a side of fresh made gravy, grits (cheese, plain or brown sugar), and that incredible inch thick pancake and fruit. Waffle of Insane Greatness – The name says it all. Really. If you love waffles, be warned – you may experience mild depression when it’s all gone. Stuffed French Toast – For those with a sweet tooth, this one is for you. A french toast extravaganza, take your pick of getting your french toast stuffed with strawberry cream cheese, blueberry cream cheese, cheese cake (yes – cheesecake), or peanut butter & jelly. Served with warm maple syrup, real whipped cream and powdered sugar. Jimmy Jose’s Scrambler – While Crockett’s 1875 Breakfast Camp has a lot of egg dishes to choose from, this one was truly something special (if you’re a mexican fiend like me!) – 3 farm fresh eggs, scrambled with Chorizo sausage, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and cheese, refried beans, Mexican rice, sour cream and warm tortillas. If that wasn’t enough to get your whistle wet, it also comes with fresh made sweet corn pone and a choice of candied apples, fresh fruit or hash browns. Pancakes – any variety. Their pancakes are HUGE. I know we said this before, but really, I’ve never seen pancakes that thick or that fluffy before – but boy were they delicious – with or without syrup Crockett’s pancakes are a meal by themselves. We had a blast trying this restaurant, and truly find their breakfast food to be a refreshing surprise on the strip – well seasoned, made fresh – you’ll search long and hard to find a breakfast as delicious and authentic as what Crockett’s Breakfast Camp is serving up daily. Insider Tip: If you’re coming with a family that has small children, it’s really easy to eat on a budget. Get one of the 4 hungry hunters huntcamp skillets – the main course is more than enough food for an adult. It comes with a huge pancake and fruit on the side with it’s own plate – for us we found this to be enough to feed a small child (age 6 or below) no problem.”

“Sugarlands Distilling Company is conveniently located in downtown Gatlinburg. Visitors who come to the barn-style distillery can take a behind-the-scenes tour of our still house and learn firsthand how we make our authentic Sugarlands spirits. Adults over the age of 21 can take a guided tasting flight of our spirits at the Sippin' Posts. Back Porch stage offers free shows covering many genres, open to guests of all ages. ”
