Palace
“At the foot of the Royal Mile. This is the Queen's official residence in Edinburgh and has connections with Mary, Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie. A great place to find out about Scottish royal history. Tours of the palace run regularly but it's best to check opening times in advance. It's a working residence and as such can be closed at short notice for Royal visits. ”

Droga
“Known as such as it is one mile long and connects two of Edinburgh's most iconic locations - Holyrood Palace and Edinburgh Castle, this is one of the busiest streets in Old Town. The Royal Mile is an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions. During the August Edinburgh Festival, the High Street becomes crowded with tourists, entertainers and buskers. It has various souvenir shops along with vintage and quirky bohemian clothes shops, you will also find multiple traditional whiskey shops and drinks locally sourced from Edinburgh and wider Scotland for you to sample and buy. You can also browse through various shops selling Scottish tartan and tweeds. ”

“The Scott Monument is a Victorian Gothic monument to Scottish author Sir Walter Scott. It is the second largest monument to a writer in the world after the José Martí monument in Havana. It stands in Princes Street Gardens, just opposite the Jenners department store and near to Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station, which is named after Scott's Waverley novels. The tower is 200 feet 6 inches (61.11 m) high, and has a series of viewing platforms reached by a series of narrow spiral staircases giving panoramic views of central Edinburgh and its surroundings. The highest platform is reached by a total of 288 steps.”

Kościół
“St Giles' Cathedral, also known as the High Kirk of Edinburgh,[1] has been one of Edinburgh's religious focal points for approximately 900 years. Its distinctive crown steeple is a prominent feature of the city skyline, at about a third of the way down the Royal Mile which runs from the Castle to Holyrood Palace. The present church dates from the late 14th century, though it was extensively restored in the 19th century, and is protected as a category A listed building.”

“Greyfriars Bobby's Bar occupies the ground floor of a row of Georgian houses adjoining the historic Candlemakers' Hall, built in 1722. The name of the bar is inspired by an Edinburgh legend of a scruffy Skye terrier called Bobby. When his owner died in 1858, Bobby faithfully watched over his grave and was buried alongside his master in the Greyfriars Kirkyard in 1872”

“Calton Hill is a mix of bustling commercial areas and quiet residential streets. The hill itself, with its city views, is home to the Collective contemporary art gallery and the unfinished National Monument. Gay bars and casual eateries cluster around the top of busy Leith Walk, where the Edinburgh Playhouse stages musicals and comedy. Locals frequent the bakeries, cafes and gift stores on vibrant Broughton Street.”
