“The downs is situated at the top Whiteladies Rd. Venture to the far left for views of the Avon Gorge. From here you can walk along the edge of the gorge to Clifton and end up at The Observatory. Recommend a walk around Clifton Village for a bite to eat or a cup of tea ”

“Lovely woodland for walking/running. Great for families and a natural playground for kids with dens, hollow logs and piles of leaves to play in. Nice to combine with a visit to the suspension bridge: cross over the bridge (£1 toll in a car, free on foot/bike) and take the first right hand turn after the bridge. Follow the road round for half a mile or so and there’s a gate into the woods on the right. Pick your path and enjoy! Head upwards for views of Bristol and the suspension bridge from across the Avon Gorge. 20mins taxi, 30mins bike or take the train from Stapleton road to Clifton Down and walk 20mins from there. ”
