The best beaches on Maui are an easy 4 to 5 minute walk away -- A short 2 block walk north for surfing and board rentals at Kalama Park. 2 blocks south is Charley Young Beach great for sunning and swimming, lots and lots of sand there. -- Many dining and snack places across the street from those beaches.-. Bedroom has a Firm Queen mattress. Newly installed A/C in lving room for warmest days ( But why bother... :-) it is the tropics, sunny and warm). Grocery store 4 blocks north. Maui bus stop 1 block away. Great pool and deck and BBQ grills right here in the courtyard. Berber carpeted Living Room and Bedroom, south facing 3rd floor Lanai balcony, Fully equipped galley Kitchen with Mr. Coffee, french press coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishwasher, gas oven/range, microwave, refrig. Bathroom tub with multi-head hand-held shower. Boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas, Beach towels, hair dryer all included. Flat screen w/ built in dvd, Local TV Stations and PBS, No cable (Go outside, walk, swim, enjoy Maui-- it's an expensive trip you've taken -- don't watch TV all day) BASIC Wi-Fi internet, provides web-surfing and emails. Will NOT support gamers or streaming movies without buffering delays. (Gotta ask ... Why come all the way to Maui to watch movies, huh?) BBQ covered gazebo area and pool downstairs in the courtyard. Private parking space. EASY & short walk to beaches and surfing. Walk to grocery stores, snack shops and eateries all w/i 2-6 blocks. Coin-op washer and dryer in condo laundry room on site. Lush and green tropical landscaping. An easy 25 minute drive south from the airport. Third (top floor) end unit (No elevator). Not glammy, but rather is a Comfy island-style place. Totally private 585 square feet condo unit: living room, bedroom, en suite bath room, galley kitchen, lanai balacony. It's your home away from home on Maui. Swimming pool and barbecue area just downstairs from your front door. Sunny south facing lanai with peek-a-boo view of ocean from balcony rail to the west, see the sunrise over Haleakala to the east. Brew a fresh cup of coffee when you wake up and walk with it to the beach and listen to the quiet-- except for the roosters and doves-- in early morning. Snorkel with the sea turtles year round. Whales arriving in December and breaching Dec-March in offshore waters. Note: must be able to walk up 2 easy flights of stairs to the third floor.

Two of the greatest beaches-- 1 huge wide beach for sunning, swimming and snorkeling, 1 for boarding and surfing --- either one is only a 3-4 minute walk away. Many eateries and grocery stores close by 4-6 blocks walking distance. Kihei is the sunniest part of the island of Maui.

I am an attorney by profession from the Chicago area. I fell in love with Maui the first time I visited there over 20 years ago. I have 5 grown children, all who visit often and one of my sons and his wife now live in Hawaii having fell in love with it also. I recommend that all visitors to Maui buy the book "Maui Revealed." It is a wealth of information about the island, places to see, places to eat and "how to" do and see Maui. I have a copy and still refer to it.
