Zoo, Park w/pool, @ 1/4 mile to Main St is Your own private Living Room, Bedroom & Bath. In lovingly restored 1875 Victorian Home.Access 2 Kitchen and DR right off Living Room. Lrg & peaceful wrap around rocking chair front porch. Our goal is to transport you back in time while your here with Southern touches.
Original Bathtub has attached shower handle (like clawfoot tub handle) It also has sloped ceiling over the shower/tub combo having been built when bathrooms had to be retro fit.

This is a unique space Built in 1879. Its located on the first floor and is a Private suite. It includes a Victorian furnished Living Room, bedroom with Queen bed, and small private bath. Your right next to the x-lg Chef Kitchen and Dining Room thru your own private doors. Your welcome to use the refrigerator. The wrap around porch has rocking chairs for you to enjoy people watching and dog walkings.
The bathroom was added many years after the home was built and is retro fitted to the space. The ceiling slopes over the tub/shower handle attached to tub spout...I dont want any surprises. Inc..a teak seat if you wish to use.
There is a Porta Cache located off the Living Room (carriage house) thats original to the house and unique to neighborhood.
**There is space in the living room for a twin roll away that we have here. Or if you wish to bring a inflatable mattress.
**There is also cereal, milk, oatmeal and grits available on the buffet.
2019 we are expecting 3 New resteraunts and 4 new boutiques within super short stroll.
PET FEE: $15 and they must be 20 lb or under. Please no large dog nails because the scratch our floors so I must really adhere to small dogs only please. Thank You

Our neighborhood is the Historic Highland Park area created in 1889. Ours is the first URBAN neighborhood built after the Civil War and the first to have horse drawn trolleys. Most of the homes were built in the late 1800's and 80 % are revitalized to reflect that era. Our home is completely re-modeled and we have taken great pains to keep her as original as possible. Her floors, doors, trim, tile, windows, stained glass (i could go on and on) are original while important parts are brand new like the plex plumbing, wiring and roof. Upstairs baths are brand new, downstairs bath is a mix of new and old and kitchen is brand new.
We urge you to drive around and look at the re-modeled mansions and bungalows as my block is the last to be "gentrified". And the appreciation of all the hard work going into the ones being re-modeled. Keeping in mind that people cannot live in them while they are being re-done. We do still have some older couples that have lived here 60 plus years that want to stay here and who can blame them right. Still others are holding on to their property because the prices are sky rocketing and they want to wait to sell to make more money. So we are a mixed neighborhood of new homes, remodeled 1800's homes, homes being re-modeled, some people staying and other sitting on gold mines. This is the fastest transforming part of the city. For example...Condos across from us sell for 190K. Re-modeled homes sell for 300K.Plus, 15 M is being invested from now to mid 2017 on mix use buildings and re-models. I think its really exciting watching old homes become the beauties like they were originally only better : ) Also new bike paths and bike kiosks are being added and at the end of our street one of the 1800's buildings is being fitted for retail which is very exciting!! Why am I going into all this detail? I don't think everybody has experienced the transformation of a 1800's URBAN neighborhood and all that goes into that project. I don't want anybody to say I didn't describe things well.
I think you find these transformations in many Historic neighborhoods across the USA because of the push to live downtown where the action is. No longer are people moving out of these amazing neighborhoods but into them.
We LOVE LOVE LOVE our neighborhood where everyone know everyone like in the 50's. Our neighbors are white collar professionals and self employed artists and writers that love living downtown. Together we are transforming this neighborhood. We actually have over 100 people show up at our monthly neighborhood meetings because we love our neighborhood so very much and are proud to be a small part of its renewal.
Its also awesome here because we are centrally located 1.5 mile from downtown center, 1 mile from the South side art district and 4 miles to the foot of Lookout Mountain. A block from our home is Warner Park/fitness center. You will find a Olympic size pool (closed after school starts), wading pools, spray park with slides and chutes, fitness center and the Chattanooga Zoo. Lots of fun to be had. Also, there is a Fabulous Antique mall at end of block. And now Developer says MAY 2019 looking forward to THREE NEW restaraunts and FOUR new Boutique/Antique Shops. All easy stroll too.
Great city to get outside and do fun things and make memories with the family. Staying in a Original Piece of Chattanooga makes it an Extra unusual experience.

I love Chattanooga history and am a bit of a Historian of the area. I love meeting people and entertaining. Looking forward to this chapter of my life meeting people and sharing my lovely home. Additionally, traffic can be challenging on the Interstate. So I would allow time for Time for traffic possibilities.
