Hosting since 2013, I’m your Superhost for your Galle Sri Lanka stay. I’ve lived in 7 countries and stayed in some great places. On offer is a unique Sri Lankan place. Together with Chris my partner, our Mom Karin, and Shain our House Manager we are available to you. LGBT+ friendly. I work in the New Zealand Internet industry and Chris works for a creative agency Double Denim specialising in gender intelligence insights. We’ve lived around the world in Saskatchewan Canada, Melbourne Australia, Wellington New Zealand, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Singapore, Taipei, Taiwan and Jakarta Indonesia. We all love how much the Asia Pacific region has to offer. The places we’ve loved to visit so far have been Barcelona, New York and Marakesh in Morocco - there are still many more cities to visit. Maybe you can introduce us to your home town? One of our favourite things to do is read a book in Templeberg’s sprawling garden, say The Great Gatsby, War and Peace or The Catcher in the Rye. Music we like to sing along to when no one else is listening includes: Queen, Don’t Stop believin by Journey and Soft cell’s tainted love. Favourite ways to spend a summery evening is in the pool, having a picnic with friends or at the beach listening to the waves. One of our mottos to live by is “ how you make others feel about themselves, says a lot about you”. And “expect nothing and appreciate everything”. We are a close travelling family spending time between Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Australia - all beautiful island nations. Our extended families of aunts, nieces and nephews and friends love to stay at the house every Easter to create their own special memories. We’ve opened up our second home to guests now for more than 8 years. We love sharing with others our jungle views, nature, great staff, and our sweet Sri Lankan family of rescue pets. Being well travelled ourselves we’ve always preferred a quiet location such as a bungalow or a villa rather than a hotel. We love local, safe and off the beaten track personalised experiences. Kiwi/Aussie laidback approach. We are down to earth and very kiwi and have loved sharing our experience with 1000s of visitors from all walks of life. We are slightly adventurous trying our best to do something different in our adopted country. At the villa we have 8 caring and thoughtful Buddhist staff who are kind and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your holiday. A stay with us supports them and their families but also many women in the local village who provide meals for breakfasts, fresh fruit and vegetables and laundry care. We firmly believe in supporting and living in the Kaduruduwa community. Thanks for checking us out and our Listings ‘Galle beach and breakfast stay’, ‘Galle Templeberg Bird and Monkey stay’, Galle 2 bed Cottage and ‘colonial tranquil hideaway among the palms’. We hope to answer your queries , to share our curated top list of things to do in Galle and surrounds and be meeting you in person or online. Ka Kite Ano which in Maori our local language means see you tomorrow.
