We are situated in a neighbourhood where you can observe the village life. There are locals' houses, farms, and cattle around which offers you a glimpse of daily life of locals while still being close to the bustling city. On the property, we grow organic vegetables, fruits, and coffee. The fresh water you will drink here comes straight from the spring water field. When you dine with us, you are offered homemade, organic food cooked fresh for you in our kitchen.

Hello! Meet Joe and Sofia Hammond -- owners of The Castle Resort. Joe -- an Irishman hailing from Tipperary and Sofia -- a Portuguese from Coimbra, started building the 'castle' 20 years ago when Joe was was left overwhelmed by the beauty he saw from the hilltop where the 'castle' currently stands. They have been living in Pokhara, Nepal since then and have been offering accommodation, restaurant, and an Irish pub (this is where Joe is usually found) at The Castle Resort.

The Castle Resort is located on a small hilltop overlooking Phewa Lake and the World Peace Stupa, away from the hustle and bustle of the 'lakeside' Pokhara. It's easily reachable in about 12 minutes on foot from the lakeside by taking the stairs they built 20 years ago. There's also a road that now comes up all the way but is not in a great shape -- but is usable by cars and motorbikes.

Joe and Sofia Hammond, plus their boxer pup Jofie would like to welcome you to their 'castle' where you will be surrounded by natural beauty. They grow many of the vegetables by themselves. They also have coffee and avocado plants among others. The restaurant in place serves Nepali and continental dishes while the Irish pub offers international and local drinks to choose from.
