Miejsce
A stunning bright and airy garden flat that opens out into well presented Communal Gardens adjacent to The Salcombe Estuary. The one bedroom flat comprises of a large open plan lounge/dining and kitchen area with sliding glass doors that lead out on to a private patio with outdoor table and chairs to accommodate up to 6 people.
The bedroom, which also has sliding door access out on to the private patio and enjoying stunning views of the estuary, comprises of 2 single beds (which can be separated or pushed together for a couple) and a full size bunk bed, ideally suited for children. A travel cot can be arranged under separate request. There are 2 x further pull out beds in the lounge area, again this could be arranged under separate request but you would need to bring your own bedding for these. There is plenty of drawer space available in the bedroom and further hanging and shelving space available in the store cupboard.
The bathroom has been recently refurbished and includes toilet, sink and a large walk in shower. There is also a mirrored cabinet for your toiletries to be stored, shaving plug and heated towel rail. We supply bath and hand towels as well as flannels and tea towels. However, we do not supply beach towels and would ask that you bring your own for use of the beach and swimming pool. There is WiFi available in the flat, a Smart TV, CD player and various books and games for adults and children.
The outside private patio leads straight in to the Communal Gardens where you will find the heated swimming and paddling pool (22nd May to 31st October only) and access to the pontoon where you will have your very own boat mooring (5m max.) There is a water sports store next door to the flat if you need to store any equipment such as life jackets, kayaks, paddle boards etc. There is also a restaurant within the block of apartments that overlook the gardens called 'Dick and Wills', perfect for a sunset drink or dinner overlooking the water.
The flat can be accessed either through the main building reception or through the garden. On arrival, please sign in to the register in the main reception with your car registration number.
The gardens are completely secure and can only be accessed via a locked door either end of the garden. There is a separate shower and toilet available to be used by the swimming pool, these are shared with other guests. There are also further toilets found in the main reception.
There is a laundry room available which is shared with other guests, this is located just down the corridor from the main reception. In here you will find coin operated washing machines and dryers.

Dostęp dla gości
You will have access to all Communal area within the block. These include the Main Reception, Laundry Room, Communal Gardens, Swimming & Paddling Pool, Pontoon and Car Park which will provide 1 x car parking space for your stay. The flat itself is privately contained and also offers a private patio.

Inne ważne rzeczy
The Communal Gardens are secure and can only be accessed via your key, however I would like to point out that there is no Lifeguard on duty for the swimming pool and this is to be used at your own risk, please supervise children at all times. If your children will be accessing the pontoon it is a good idea to supply them with a life jacket, again, this is to be used at your own risk. You will have a space available on the pontoon for a boat up to 5m long max. If you require any help with getting your boat into the water please contact me ahead of your stay. There are laundry facilities available, the washing machines and dryers are coin operated. You will have 1 x car parking space available for the duration of your stay. No dogs are allowed at all on site. No smoking is permitted inside the Flat or indoor Communal areas.

The town is situated at the Southern end of a 'Ria' - a landlocked, salt water inlet, with beautiful, safe, sandy beaches. A Marine Site of Special Scientific Interest, Marine Local Nature reserve and Area of outstanding Natural Beauty, the Ria is bordered by magnificent cliffs which form part of the South West coast Path, well-loved all year-round.
Activities in the area are plentiful - you can learn to sail, hire a motor boat or Yawl, canoe/kayak, SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding), surf, ride a rib, fish, crabbing, walk or just laze on a lovely beach.

Heading seaward from the town centre, past the pretty beaches of North and South Sands, you find 'Overbecks', a National Trust property. The house is an interesting museum with micro climate gardens featuring semi-tropical plants, including oranges, lemons and bananas! The museum, tea room and gardens are open 11am - 5pm fromFebruary to October. The South Sands and Kingsbridge passenger ferries are seasonal. Across the Estuary, East Portlemouth village has beautiful beaches, accessible via a frequent passenger ferry from Salcombe, 365 days a year. Many small beaches, the Gara Rock Hotel and Apartments and, inland, the pretty village of East Prawle can be found via the South West Coast Path. The National Coastwatch Institution Look Out at Prawle Point and Start Point Lighthouse are both open to the public. Westward from Salcombe along the Coast Path via Bolt Head is a two-part village, inner and outer hope cove. Inland, sampleThe East Soar Farm Experience, take refreshments at a great Walkers Hut or enjoy lunch at Soar Mill Cove Hotel. Hope Cove has two small, sandy sheltered beaches, a square of pretty thatched cottages, The Cove Bar and the Lobster Pod Bistro in the grounds of the Cottage Hotel. Visit the tiny church of St Clements, perched on the rocks overlooking the sea. Along the Coast Path from Hope Cove, the scenic village of Thurlestone has good beaches (and its magnificent rock), a cosy pub and hotel. Continue to Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea with famous surfing beaches, surf school, golf course and access to the famous 'Burgh Island hotel'. inland are the villages of Malborough, Galmpton and South Milton. Malborough has two pubs, a shop and a church with a spire dominating the skyline.
Further afield are South Devon Chilli Farm and Avon Mill Garden Centre near Loddiswell, where you can savour a delicious home-made such before taking a stroll through the woods along the River Avon.
Salcombe offers a wide range of restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops providing local produce whenever possible. Sample a Devon pasty, a cream tea, locally caught crab, Salcombe gin and Salcombe Dairy ice cream and chocolate - yummy! There is a large selection of national designer clothing shops and excellent independent retailers selling clothing, shoes, accessories and fashion jewellery. On Fore Street, Union Street and Island Street you will find an interesting mix of photographic and art galleries exhibiting a variety of work from local artists , alongside a children's soft play area and Salcombe Gin distillery, where you can even make your very own bottle of gin. The Salcombe Tourist Information Centre is situated on Market Street.

I love Salcombe! After holidaying here for many years I took the plunge and relocated here from Hertfordshire with my husband and young children. It was the best decision we ever made. I have plenty of experience in hosting, and hospitality. I can provide a very high quality guest experience due to working as a Chief Stewardess onboard a Super Yacht for many years. I have great organisational skills, attention to detail and great knowledge of the local area and what it has to offer. I look forward to meeting you. Katie x
