I'm a Montreal-born, Tokyo-raised former television and radio producer who truly considers the world my home--and is delighted that Brooklyn, specifically, has been my base and launchpad for the past 25 years.

Since getting divorced a few years ago, and with my girls growing up, I've turned my Prospect Heights brownstone into a part-time arts salon. Once or twice a month, I'll host a storytelling evening, or a pop-up art show, or a festive cooking class, or a writing workshop, or a meditation gathering. All are welcome. It's been a joy.

I'm a passionate believer and supporter of "the sharing economy," of which Airbnb plays an essential part. I barely ever use hotels any more--just feel the texture of traveling (and hosting) through Airbnb is made deeper, more idiosyncratic, and more fun when I can connect with real people on their own, or my, turf.

When I was a growing up, my mother enjoyed telling her children that "strangers are friends we haven't met yet." I've come to find that this is mostly true. So here's to you, stranger--and the lovely possibility of our one day meeting.
