Swim, kayak, canoe, paddle board or enjoy sitting on the dock. Visit the barn for basketball, ping pong, and corn hole. It's a studio apartment with a private bathroom and beds for four, plus two couches and air beds available. Note: This is an upstairs apartment.

Our property is canopied with live oaks and is a very quiet country setting. There is little lake traffic and only a few homes on this 700 acre lake.
The apartment is about 25 minutes from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and 13 minutes from Gainesville Raceway (Gator Nationals).

My wife and I are retired school teachers. We moved to Brevard County Florida, home of Kennedy Space Center, in 1964. I said to my new bride, “ Let’s try Florida for a year and see how we like it.” We liked it! For the next 32 years I taught middle school science, (30 years in the same classroom), in the little oceanside community of Satellite Beach, FL. It was an exciting time and place to live. We both loved teaching and are still involved with children and youth in our church. We purchased the lake property we now live on in 1998 and immediately began the building process. We have three daughters who have blessed us with 12 grandchildren and all of them enjoy sharing time with us here at Lake Alto. We hope you will visit us and join in the fun. Jim & Betty June
