Coachmans Cottage Apartment is set in the coach house and stables to Carlton Hall, dating back to 1790. Situated at the start of the Wasdale and Eskdale we are perfect for anyone wishing to climb Scafell or just enjoy the two stunning valleys. Brave drivers and cyclists may wish to tackle Hardnott pass at the top end of Eskdale. Ravensglass village and beaches a short walk away, also set on the Fell above the cottage is the amazing Muncaster Castle and Owl centre.

Totally independent apartment with enclosed courtyard. Double bedroom, bathroom with great shower. The main living room has small kitchen, dining table and sofa bed for extra sleeping. We are child and dog friendly.

We are perfectly placed to give easy access to Wasdale, Eskdale and Ravensglass where you can eat and drink in cafes/pubs. We also a have few fine dining spots. Wasdale valleys is the home to Scafell England’s highest mountain but also the deepest lake smallest church and biggest liar competition. Eskdale is a magical valley with everything from Roman forts to waterfalls, castles and a miniature railways for kids of all ages. This area also has the most phenomenal beaches such as Drigg and Seascale which are mostly deserted.
