Comfortable, clean, cozy, simply furnished...

Bedroom: twin bed & room for queen size air mattress; pullout sofa bed in living room, smaller loveseat could accommodate a child if necessary.

Very often I have a guest booked on the living room couch, so please inquire before booking if you need that space as well as the bedroom.

Quiet complex 1/2 mi from airport, 3 mi from downtown, parking space on grass or under carport.

PETS NEGOTIABLE - I have 2 kittens.

The kitchen, living room, laundry, and shared bathroom are all available for use. I live with a roommate who’s rarely home, and neither of us uses the communal spaces much. The back porch has a few places to sit and smoke, should you need to. The garden is large, and I’ve set up a table and chairs out there. You can walk around outside to reach it or go through the laundry room.

The bedroom is often not as warm as the rest of the house; I provide a strong space heater that more than adequately warms up the room.

In addition to WiFi, the bedroom has a TV w/built-in DVD player, a wide selection of DVDs, and a Roku with HBO/Showtime/Cinemax/Starz, as well as Netflix, Hulu, YouTube Premium...

The house is in various stages of remodeling ( painting, tiles, etc.), but nothing to worry about; I only work on it when nobody’s around.

King’s Court is on the south side of Traverse City. There is a busy street (South Airport Road) down the hill with a 7/11, three Chinese restaurants, a couple pizza places, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Burger King, Arby’s, Jimmy Johns, Qdoba, J&S Hamburger, Big Apple Bagels... A Big Lots is on that street, as are gas stations and a wide variety of shops.

Downtown is about 4 miles away; there is often construction in the area, but I can show you the quickest ways around it. To the west of us there is the Grand Traverse Mall, a Walmart, several other restaurants, a multiplex cinema. About half a mile to the east is a Costco and the airport.

I’ve made a guidebook with extensive listings of restaurants, wineries, and other various activities in the area.

I have two kitties named Lulu and Kiki, both around a year old, and will keep them separate from the rest of the house if you prefer; I’m also open to the idea of you bringing your own pets (on a case by case basis).

I’m a private disabled person (MS) and prefer not to interact much with people; my roommate is even more private than I am and rarely around except to sleep. However, I’m perfectly happy to have a conversation or two, especially regarding any of your needs or questions. I am always available to answer questions by text or in person at home.

If you have any special requests, feel free to tell me; I’ll have milk and coffee available, and if you’d like to cook, everything in the kitchen is at your disposal, including the food.

My kittens, Lulu & Fifi, are under a year old and very, very energetic. Though most people fall in love with them, do feel free to request that they stay in my room during your visit...
