Miejsce
This secluded 20x60-meter property is ideal for people who like to spend most of their time outside, enjoying the lake, feeling the tropical breezes and sun on their skin, and listening to the 250+ species of birds that call Bacalar home.

LIVE indoors and outdoors:
- Casita (small studio at entrance, on land side of jungle garden):
1 king bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, closets, seating. Full bathroom inside.
- Glamper (big tent nestled on lake side of jungle garden, 25m from the casita):
1 king bed, screened windows that open lower than the bed for good airflow, floor fan and lights, clothes rack. Rustic half-bath--toilet and sink with long rack for drying towels or bathing suits--hidden a few steps away.
- Indoor-outdoor kitchen (refrigerator, sink, and appliances in casita, two-burner stove and dining table on covered patio)
- Open-air shower under palms near the casita.
- Secure, off-street gated parking.

LOUNGE anywhere: on the dock, in the shady grotto near the casita, in the open yard high above the laguna, or under a mangrove at the water's edge. New hammocks, hammock chairs, and lounge chairs (camastros) dot the grounds.

SWIM in the world's best laguna and soak up sun on the dock.

PADDLE out to explore the laguna in sit-on-top kayaks (2 single, 1 double included).

PEDAL around town to hit the markets or check out the fort (2 bikes with baskets and racks included)

Dostęp dla gości
You (that means only you and the people whom you bring) have exclusive use of the entire property from the gate to the dock, except for the garages (bodegas). Enjoy it! :-)

ABOUT BACALAR. . . . . . . 8 TIPS & 1 WARNING

TIP 1: There are several ATMs in town, but sometimes they run out of cash, especially around the 15th and 30th of each month. So stock up on pesos before arriving if possible!

7 TIPS to PRESERVE THIS FRAGILE ENVIRONMENT, best practices that are promoted by scientists, government authorities, and concerned locals:
1. DON'T TOUCH STROMATOLITES. Ever.
2. DON'T USE SUNSCREEN *in the water*, not even biodegradable. Use swim clothes!
3. DON'T EXFOLIATE. The fake "Mayan spa treatment" is forbidden.
4. DON'T PEE IN THE WATER. Go before you get in.
5. DON'T PLAY MUSIC LOUD. Respect the birds and your neighbors.
6. LEAVE SNAILS ALONE. They are key to the lagoon's equilibrium.
7. LEAVE NO TRACE. Take your garbage with you!

1 WARNING: Give the Lake a Break Day is EVERY Wednesday.
The Ecology and Environment Directorate, the Captain of the Port, and the lancheros have agreed to make Wednesdays a no-navigation day--no motorboats, no sailboats, no kayaks, no paddleboards, no jetskis, no waterbikes... no watercraft of any kind.
Plan your visit accordingly!
The initiative began 26 February 2020. You may see a few tour providers out who already had paid reservations, but most no longer accept reservations for Wednesdays.

Close enough to the centro to walk to restaurants and markets (8-10 blocks), far enough from it to feel peaceful. Near excellent laguna tour operators.

This part of the costera is not heavily traveled by vehicles other than those of residents, as it is not used as a through street and the road becomes a little rough to the north.
