Staying at this apartment you are handy to everything - 3 minute walk to the most beautiful swimming and fishing beach, there are shops across the road to buy food, a chemist and beauty parlours. In the supermarket you can get ready-made meals, both fresh and frozen, cooked chickens, salads etc. Very handy indeed! A liquor store is almost next door and you are 4 mins drive to Mangonui - a quaint village with awesome history, amazing cafes (The Thai, Indian Spice, Waterfront, Little Kitchen and more) the local pub - great fish and chips here, or try the world famous Mangonui Fish and Chip place over the water. There is plenty of parking, its quiet and peaceful. I live upstairs but am quiet and often out. Drift off to sleep listening to waves on the beach nearby. Ideal place to stay to explore the area, lots of information at the apartment. Can advise you on the area if need be. Parking for boats in front yard.

Fabulous area to be staying in - so close to the beach, for walks and swims or fishing. The village is handy and has all you need at the Four Square supermarket or takeaways or amazing butcher who sells local produce. Its only 5 mins drive to Mangonui or Cable Bay in either direction and a great base for exploring the north areas, up to Cape Reinga (1.5 hour drive) and a fabulous winery on Karikari peninsula, another is Dancing Petrel - great wine tasting. Recommend a 3 day stay as there is much to experience here, or longer if you have time. You will not be disappointed with your stay here in the Far North. Make this your base and explore this unique region of New Zealand. Guests recommend for a relaxing stay in a homely apartment.

I am an easygoing lady in my 60's and I love meeting travelers and hosting at my s.c. apartment, ground floor of my home. I enjoy listening to music, kayaking, swimming, gardening, reading and my relaxed semi retired lifestyle.
I have traveled extensively, and I like to stay in value-priced accommodation myself, mainly airbnb, not in hotels, so I can meet the 'real' people.

There is so much to see in the Far North - short day trips or an all day to Cape Reinga are recommended, often you will be the only person on the beaches.
I enjoy having people at my property and look forward to welcoming you if you desire a comfortable apartment at the right price in the right location at Coopers Beach, your gateway to the Far North.

I had an airbnb property on Waiheke Island before moving here 3 years ago, so am used to interacting with guests if they wish. I can advise you on what's what in the area. Lots of info in the unit. Just ask if you have any queries.
