The Old Coach House is a stunning 2-bedroom luxury apartment, comprising of a double room with en-suite, a further twin room, separate bathroom, and open plan kitchen and living room. There are double patio doors that lead directly onto a shared Mediterranean styled courtyard, perfect for those summer evenings. The apartment has been completely refitted, and offers top end luxury and comfort. The Old Coach House offers to perfect get-away for both families or couples.

The Old Coach House is part of the Sheplegh Court estate, a magnificent, historic country house, set in 22 acres of beautiful tranquil gardens, nestling in the folds of an idyllic lush green valley, with extensive gardens, woods, parkland, and views across the glorious South Devon countryside. The house is located in a truly picturesque setting, and is located just a mile or so from the village of Blackawton. There is an indoor pool available all year round, and an outdoor pool open during the summer. Please note at time to time the pools do have to close for maintenance and that use of the pools cannot be guaranteed.

13/07 Our residents committee have advised that work to prepare the pools has now started to take place – this includes both cleaning and maintenance.
As yet there are not any firm dates for the pools to be reopened.

May 2020 - Important:
Due to COVID 19 the swimming pools are currently closed.
Access to shared facilities may be limited to ensure the safety of all and cannot be guaranteed.
Update 2nd July - The leisure areas i.e. both pools and the snooker/darts room remain closed until current restrictions are relaxed.
The tennis court is open and freely available for use.
The grounds are of course open to walk in – when there are groundsmen working in the wooded areas, please stay clear of these parts of the grounds.
The laundry room is open for use – should you use these facilities, please wipe down anything that you have touched with anti-bacterial spray after use.

There are 22 acres of communal gardens
• The shared indoor facilities are available for use between the hours of 8am and 10pm, although closures due to maintenance may occur
• The outdoor pool is open from June to September, although closures due to maintenance may occur
• The laundry room is open for use from 8am to 8pm

Check in times are currently later than usual, and check out times are earlier than usual. This is due to the additional cleaning time currently required by our housekeepers due to COVID 19.

House Rules
• The Old Coach House is strictly No Smoking
• Damages and breakages will be chargeable
• A standard clean is included in the cost of the rental, however if a deep clean is needed this will be chargeable
• There is no parking directly outside the property, unless to unload and reload
• There is an allocated parking space for number 11, please do not park in any other space
• Please try to keep noise to a minimum, particularly before 8am and after 8pm
• The shared indoor facilities are available for use between the hours of 8am and 10pm, and should not be used outside of these times
• The outdoor pool is open from June to September, and is unavailable outside of these months
• The laundry room is open for use from 8am to 8pm, and should not be used outside of these hours

Shared Facilities & Outdoor Pool
The shared facilities at Sheplegh Court are available for guest use. As a small residential estate we don't have a managed service function, so the shared facilities are not constantly monitored. As such, there may be occasions where some facilities are unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control. The outdoor pool is intended to be open between June and September, however please note that any circumstances out of our control could result in its closure at any time. If this does happen, every effort would be made to reopen the pool as soon as possible.
The pool is not monitored continuously during opening hours so children must be supervised at all times. There are no lifeguards. Please note that there is a cover over the pool which will need to be removed by the first person of the day to go for a swim. Similarly, the pool must be covered over by the last person to leave the pool area as this preserves the heat in the pool. Please do be very careful when winding the cover back, and make sure that it is locked carefully into position.
Our glorious location in the Devon countryside can mean that the occasional leaf or twig may blow into the pool. The drainage ditches around the pool contain stones, so it is important to ensure that these don’t find their way into the pool! A net is always located by the pool itself, so that visitors can remove anything that may have blown in.
