Bath Christmas Market takes place from 28th November to 15th December 2019. The Garden Room is self contained accommodation. The kitchen area has a sink and fridge (no freezer). We do have microwave, an induction hotplate, a kettle and toaster. There is a welcome pack of Fairtrade tea, and coffee for you, also milk, biscuits, bread, fruit, cereals and a few basics for your breakfast.

We also don't have a washer or dryer available in the Garden Room although we can make washing facilities available on request.

There is WiFi but no television, but you can watch DVDs and read books we have available for you.

There are plenty of footpaths, and woods next door to explore. We are just outside Bath so we are surrounded by hills. The walk to the bus stop takes 5 or 10 minutes but it is quite steep going up but easier coming home! There isn't a pavement up to the village but the lanes are frequently used by dog walkers and horse riders, probably more than cars. Take a look at the street view online website if you want to get a better idea. Webbs Cottage has the white door.

There are many, many wonderful places to go and things to see and do within easy reach of us. Here is a random list - look them up on the internet for more information

Bath: Roman Baths, the Pump Rooms, the Royal Crescent, the Circus, Museum of Costume, loads of theatres, Bath rugby, Thermae spa - (a rooftop pool experience not to miss, especially at night) Christmas street market, gorgeous Georgian architecture
Stonehenge: about 40 minutes drive to this ancient monument
Wells: the Cathedral, Bishop's Palace and very interesting shops and restaurants
The Mendips, Cheddar Gorge, Somerset levels, Wookey Hole
Longleat house and safari park
Glastonbury - a taste of the alternative
National trust properties: Stourhead, Dyrham Park, Lacock, Prior Park Gardens and Avebury and so many more.

Good walks from New Buildings include a ramble across the fields to Camerton Church or a mile or so up the lane to the hamlet of Carlingcott. There you can follow Angela's trail of mosaic snails (how many can you find!).

NB For guest safety there is a fire extinguisher, fire blanket and smoke alarm in the Garden Room. Electrical appliances are PAT tested annually. This is our sole listing, and whilst a self-contained unit in our garden, it is part of our family home. We are approved for holiday accommodation by our local authority. The Garden Room complies with all regulations and we pay UK taxes. Staying with us will contribute to our local economy. We look forward to meeting you!

The Garden Room is set in lovely countryside but within easy reach of a multitude of attractions.
Your morning call will be bird song! Two minutes walk down the lane will take you to Camerton woods, which in May is full of bluebells and wild garlic.
Webbs Cottage is set in the hamlet of New Buildings (it was new in the mid 1800s) and consists of a cluster of stone built ex-miners cottages. It is tucked away in a valley but just a short walk from the busy village of Peasedown St John, which has shops, pubs and a post office and frequent bus services to Bath.

Theatres, restaurants and bars are available in Bath (6 miles:10 km) and Bristol (14 miles) if you feel like trying the night life but the Garden Room is situated in a quiet country location.

We love to meet our guests and help you to enjoy this lovely part of the world but the Garden Room is your own separate space. You can pop in and out as you please or come to visit us in the main house if you wish.
