This cozy seaside cottage on the "quiet side" of Mount Desert Island has panoramic views of Southwest Harbor and the Cranberry Islands. Watch the boats and tide come and go from your bed! High tide splashes below the cantilevered deck. The quaint downtown where you can shop and dine is just a 3/10 mile walk along a sidewalk. There are several ways to access Acadia National Park hiking and swimming just 2-3 miles away; Bar Harbor is a 30 minute drive. The cottage is ideal for couples or families.

Miejsce
The original structure (the kitchen and bedroom above) was built in the early 1900's and like many buildings in the inner harbor, was used by fisherman to bait their hooks and mend their traps before heading out to fish for cod, halibut, lobster, etc. My family acquired the cottage in the 1980's and spent twenty-five memorable years watching the tide and boats come and go. We hope that you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

The entire home and deck on the water is yours to enjoy! The parking and lawn (pictured) is shared with another rental property next door.

The bedrooms are located on the second floor and the living room and kitchen are down a small set of stairs from the main entrance (pictured), so if stairs are difficult for members of your party, this may not be the place for you.

The cottage is located on the waterfront in a residential neighborhood just past the center of the village shops and dining, within minutes of several entrances to Acadia National Park. The view of the harbor activity of the yachts coming and going from Dysart's Marina to the right and the lobster boats to and from Beal's Lobster Wharf to the left certainly make this a unique location with endless entertainment.
