Miejsce
The cottage is nestled in a secluded, wooded area near the glorious River Tay. We're so pleased to be able to share it with you.

OUTSIDE you'll find plenty of space to park up to three cars. There's a large garden with plenty of room for sunbathing (though please remember it's Scotland!). The landscaped outdoor dining area is the perfect place to dine al fresco, and once you've had dinner and done the dishes, what could be more relaxing than our wonderful wood-fired hot tub? The hot tub is totally guest-controlled - but don't worry, you'll be given all the instructions you require. In spring/summer/autumn it will be pre-filled for you to fire up and enjoy at your leisure. In winter (November to March), you'll have to fill it before you fire up, but it'll be worth the wait as you lie back and gaze up into those clear and cold winter skies!

INSIDE the cottage, you're greeted by a large porch with a bench that's just perfect for taking off your hiking boots after a day in the hills.

You then come in to the tastefully decorated dining room, with a huge dining table which seats up to ten people.

The kitchen is well-stocked, with a double oven and grill, induction hob, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, digital radio and all the pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and utensils you should need.

From the kitchen there's access to the back garden and also a small WC.

Coming through to the main part of the house, an airy hall leads to a downstairs bedroom and living room on the ground floor.

The living room is cosy and is kitted out with two large sofas. The TV is internet-ready (Netflix available for guest use) and has a (limited) selection of Freeview channels. The centrepiece is a wood-burning stove, perfect for quiet nights in watching a film or playing games.

The downstairs bedroom (blue) has a king-size bed, beautiful antique wardrobe and a handy dressing table with mirror.

Upstairs, you'll find the bathroom, a shower room, two bedrooms and the games room.

The bathroom has a shower, bath and toilet. The shower has great pressure and will hopefully invigorate you for the day ahead. There's also a further separate shower room with an excellent electric shower.

The games room has a table tennis table, perfect for a family tournament! There's also a selection of board games here to enjoy, including family favourites such as Trivial Pursuit, Linkee and Pictionary. When not playing table tennis, you can relax on the sofa and watch some TV - use the Google Home App to connect to the TV and watch content. There's also a Nintendo Switch with Zelda and Super Mario games.

The second bedroom (cream) has another king-size bed, a cupboard for your clothes and a beautiful vintage dressing table and wall mirror. You'll also find a cot here, and a full length mirror to check you're looking your best!

The last bedroom (purple) has two single beds, a cute vintage chest of drawers and another full-length mirror with hanging rail.

Dostęp dla gości
As long as you treat the property with respect, you have free rein of the entire cottage and garden area.

Inne ważne rzeczy
It is possible, but not particularly easy or convenient to travel to the cottage by public transport. I would therefore strongly advise having a car or at the very least a bicycle and a strong pair of legs to fully enjoy the cottage and the local area.

The short drive leading up to the cottage has one fairly steep part, which very infrequently in extremely icy or snowy conditions can be a challenge to get up. If this is the case when you arrive, there is a snow shovel and salt grit in the garage which should improve things greatly. If you can't make it up the drive, you may park one car tight up to the gate at the bottom of the drive, making sure you're not blocking the entrance to the drive for others.

Hello! I'm a friendly Scottish guy, originally from the west coast of Scotland. I spend around half my time in Edinburgh and half in beautiful Highland Perthshire. Unsurprisingly, like most Airbnb hosts, I'm passionate about travelling. I'm also very much into sports and outdoor pursuits, especially football, tennis and skiing. If you are looking for running routes while you are in Scotland then you're in luck. I pride myself on my knowledge of the area and would be delighted to give you the lowdown on my favourite things to do and places to visit in the area. I look forward to hosting you!
