This is a learning experience for those who want to understand how to use their DSLR/mirrorless to get that extra skills. We will focus on shooting portraits and street photos to understand composition and lighting techniques.
Each session will start with introductions at a coffee shop. Let's connect and I'll explain some fundamentals.
- Basic camera settings
- The difference between hard and soft light
- The main elements of a great portrait
- How to best interact with your subject
Then we will go out and shoot some portraits of each other, practice directing and modeling at the same time. I will pair you up with another member of the class and you will have the opportunity to create the best portraits. I used to hate being in front of the camera but I found this to be an important part of photography. It is a great lesson about how to work with models.
After taking some pictures we will go back to a coffee place and see what we can do with an atmosphere of shots in Lightroom! Lightroom has been my main and favorite software for many years. We will also use Loupedeck+ (the photo editing console) it is a great tool to develop photo processing skills. I will show you my workflow, tricks and how to optimize work.
Get creative and let's find your own personal angle behind the camera!
