Co będziecie robić

**Hello fellow walkers! Can't wait to bring the Creek Experience back, better than ever! In the meantime, I've been using the free time productively; walking the park daily, discovering new routes and charming spots off the beaten paths. Hopefully I'll be able to show you soon...**

Imagine a quiet wooded journey alongside a creek and through a sloping forest, often out of sight and earshot of cars and crowds. Welcome to Rock Creek Park, right here in the heart of DC. To the newcomer, however, the network of trails can be confusing, so you're likely to miss out on the best spots while fumbling around on your phone. That's where I come in! As a regular park trekker, I'll come up with a lovely, fun, adventurous route especially for you/r group. No worries--just enjoy the walk and the scenery

For 2-3 hours we'll hike along various trails, some right alongside the rushing creek, some traversing into the ridges above, others will take us up quiet, isolated little ravines with babbling brooks. We'll wander by historical landmarks, such as Boulder Bridge, The Capitol Ruins, and Pulpit Rock. We might stumble on turtles, carp, deer, heron, even hawks. I'm pleased to chat and share my knowledge as we go, but there's no script I'll be following. And I always have a digression ready to go!

Please message me if you've got questions.
Other things to note
This is moderate trail walking (or easy hiking), so bring appropriate footwear. Keep in mind that much of the trail goes over roots and rocks, and there is some elevation change/hills.

I'm a long time DC resident and Rock Creek Park enthusiast. I walk there most days of the year so I know it very well--its marked and hidden trails. My expertise relates mostly to walking the trails, but I'm quite familiar with the Park's various and surprising charms. I'm friendly and an adept conversationalist, a genuine peripatetic, so I'm always happy to chat as we walk.

Gdzie będziecie

We'll start at Peirce Mill and wander along the Western Ridge and Valley Trail, but we'll divert through hidden trails and up along tributary streams such as Melvin Hazen and Soapstone. We'll also stop by the waterside to take in the sights and sounds of the creek (and get your feet wet if you want!). Bathrooms at the Mill.

Hey guys he’s the BEST thing happened to me on my short trip to DC. He’s not only a wonderful tour guide for sure, but also a genuinely caring, loving, and giving person. I cannot appreciate more for what he’s done for me, a 19 year old broke college student who just made a random (and stupid ofc as everyone’s been telling me) decision to travel alone. He saved me from the hell and turned it into an experience of a lifetime. Please please please guys just try it out. The trip itself is undoubtedly awesome it’s just so nice to find a place like that in such an urban crowded area and it totally got me calmed and refreshed. Getting to know someone like Jeff who’s willing to go out of his way to help someone struggles out(in AND out of the tour)is even more like a bless. His kindness and big heart made me cry. Please guys make sure you book this trip for DC its above and beyond anything I could ever rank I mean it.

I can't believe there is so quiet forest like this in the middle of the big city. I felt I found somewhere special. The hiking tour was always exciting and Jeff was always trying to make me feel comfortable and amused. As a traveler, I think it is something you should try if you are tired of crowded and noisy city stuff.
