Co będziecie robić
You'll be picked up at your accommodation in Havana by a classic car and I'll join you here in Viñales where I'll accompany you to visit one of my favorite spot in Cuba an oasis of peace and calm, the Valley of Palmarito, UNESCO's World Heritage. Due to its typical red mud paths, the best way to see it is on horseback, but no worries, no horse riding experience is needed, the horses are quiet and know their way. Relax, this is not a touch and go tour to see all the tourist highlights, we'll take our time and while beholding the valley's breathtaking landscape, we'll visit a tobacco farm and learn from the farmers all about their work in the fields and the making of the famous Cuban cigars. On our journey we'll discover and taste all the products which are typical to this region and, when the weather and the season allow it, we'll reach a natural pool of spring water for a refreshing swim or, when that's not possible, we'll simply ride amongst the valley's peculiar rock formations, called "mogotes", and admire their unique features. Finally we'll have a late lunch in a cafeteria with a panoramic view of the whole valley. I will share with you my insight on life in Cuba and, if you like, I'll give you hints on your vacation and on activities and places off the beaten tracks. After the horse ride we'll return to the car that will bring you back to Havana.
I'm Italian, I've been visiting Cuba since 2007 and I'm a resident since 2012. Viñales has been love at first sight and I moved here as soon as I could. Cuban countryside and its culture bewitched me and with my beloved horses I share my love for it with people who come and visit, adding to local guides knowledge the unique perspective of a stranger, a "Yuma", as a Cuban would say, who has gained an insight into this country and is able to translate not just words, but a real life experience. To know more about me, type "Marina Vatteroni" on your browser to see an Italian TV interview.

The Valley of Viňales is a nature wonder and its breathtaking landscape worth a visit, but it also offers the chance to have a glimpse on one of the Cuban most fertile region. On a short term holiday people see the Capital and the beaches, but the heart of Cuban culture lies in its farmland. Cubans are not fisherman, nor craftsman, they are "guajiros". Cigars, rum and coffee are Cuba's pride and it is here where their tradition is kept alive.
