Gdzie będziecie

The experience begins at The Cranky Croc Hostel (address: Cl. 12d #3 -46, Bogota, Colombia). Once you arrive inside the hostel, go to the reception and say you are here for the experience.

We head to the village of Choachi and the organic farm on the road to Fómeque - Ubaque, on this same road we also pass by the Páramo de Cruz Verde side.

Finally we return to the original starting point.

This was an amazing tour, and we feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude to have been able to go. It was such a special cultural experience. The drive there was magical as you go high in altitude across the mountains before going into the valley. It felt like a different world. The breakfast and lunch were both at Finca La Campesina, and we tried lots of local foods include corn and potato which were beyond delicious (very different from supermarket). The finca was so special, and we were happy to support a women owned farm, where everyone goes above and beyond in terms of sustainability. They focus on zero waste and it was interesting to learn about their composting methods. Lastly - the COFFEE! While the coffee itself was delicious, the experience of actually picking coffee yourself, and having discussions about the reality of coffee farmers in Colombia was so meaningful and important. As consumers of coffee, we learned the impact of our choices, and the very small amounts that go back to the farmers. It was educational, honest, and led us to reflective conversations following this tour. We will take home the lessons we learned here back home. We have immense gratitude to Andrea, the tour lead, who was so passionate about social good, and to Marcela and Karen who spent the day teaching us about the farm. It was an unforgettable experience, one of the best tours we have ever done!

We had a great time! Our guide for the trip was Nick, and he was friendly and knowledgeable. The van used for transportation had comfortable seats and we saw some great views during the ride. The coffee farm was beautiful, and in addition to learning all about how coffee is grown and harvested, we were able to see a variety of other fruit trees and animals! The experience was well thought out with ample breaks for meals, opportunities to take photos, etc while also being engaging the entire time. Thanks for the great experience!

Super expérience !! On a adoré se balader dans le paramo et ramasser des grains de café. Le petit déjeuner et le déjeuner était vraiment délicieux, bref une expérience au top ! On recommande les yeux fermés.

I am so happy I went on this tour and would never have been close to doing this without a tour guide and group. The farm was so charming and the amount of detail communicated via Andrea was so appreciated. Picking the coffee cherries was so therapeutic and really fun to do. It says in the description that we would stop for views on the way back for some panoramas but we didn't

I felt lucky, honored, and blessed to join this unique experience and won’t forget it. Andrés led us on an adventure into the Andes for this incredible opportunity to meet a local farmer, learn about the coffee bean growing and production process, and to get to know more about the Colombian culture and people. Andrès was super easy to get along with and felt like a close friend by the end of the trip. Getting to meet the farmers Marcela and Karen was lots of fun and a really authentic experience I wouldn’t have been able to experience on my own.
