Co będziecie robić

Tours usually meet in Jackson Square and last approximately two hours. From Jackson Square, I proceed through the historical French Quality as I speak above the amazing history, architecture and famous occupants. One of the stops includes the former site of the home of our famous Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau. From there, I enter the oldest African community in the Universe States, known as Treme, once named for a Plantation owner, Claude Treme. There I speak about some of New Orleans oldest traditions. Where some of our famous music originated. I explain our unique second line funerals, and the Mardi Gras Indian tradition. We visit the gigantic statue of Louis Armstrong. After a 5 minute break at the visitors center, we proceed to the St. Louis Cemetery #2. for the remainder of the tour. The cemetery tour last approximately 30 minutes. There I will explain the unusual burial process. I will explain how and why we bury our dead above ground. On my tour, tourist get an in depth look into the burial process through visuals on my iPad.

I have been a tour guide for approximately 7 years in New Orleans. My tour guide services include, walking tours in the French Quarter, Garden District, St. Louis #1 Cemetery, and Lafayette #1 Cemetery. I can also create a customized tour to accommodate the tourist interest.

I was born and raised in New Orleans and consider myself an authentic creole of French, Native American and African American decent.

Over my 7 years as a tour guide, I have only received 5 star reviews. I am licensed by the City and I hold the special permit to access St. Louis #1 which is required by the Archdiocese.

Gdzie będziecie

The tour will meet at 411 Rampart Street in front of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at the corner of Rampart and Conti St. You will learn what role the church played during the Yellow Fever epidemic of the 1800’s. We will then visit the St. Louis Cemetery #1, the oldest existing cemetery in N.O. The cemetery is home to Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau and future gravesite of Nicholas Cage. The tour also includes French Quarter and Congo Square.

Muriel was very knowledgeable and incorporated unique photos and videos in her tour. She was kind and friendly and even went out of her way to bring Mardi Gras beads to my niece. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Muriel was so knowledgeable of the information in her tour. Her voice was easy to hear and she was very well spoken. She was clearly open to questions and answered them willingly. I’m glad I took Muriel’s tour.
