Co będziecie robić

Want to explore the Great Ocean Road in style with a local Aussie guide?

Our premium (but humble) small group experience is made for you :)

@hikeandseektours we like to keep it small, so join the group of 8 other awesome travellers for this memorable day adventure.

With coffees in our hands we’ll depart Melbourne and head straight to the famous 12 Apostles before the masses of people arrive. We promise you’ll never forget this view!

After the Apostles and Gibson Steps, it's time for a delicious lunch at our favourite local cafe before driving through the Great Otway National Park. Here we’ll take an easy-moderate 3km hike through an ancient rainforest to the dreamy Beauchamp Falls (Psst! The big bus companies can't make it here).

Always wanted to see humongous trees? On our next stop we will take a stroll amongst the ‘Giants of the forest’. Photos won’t do any justice of this place, so you *have to* experience it yourself.

From there we’ll cruise along the iconic Great Ocean Road stopping at Apollo Bay for an optional award-winning gelato.

Say G’day to some wild koalas, drop bears, king parrots & kangaroos at Kennett River and walk or swim at the beach in the surftown Lorne - or simply grab a snack before heading back to Melbourne.

It is a long way but once in a lifetime roadtrip!
Other things to note
Grade 2: No bushwalking experience required. The track is a hardened or compacted surface.
There is driving involved on this experience but the views are definitely worth it and our van is very comfy.

We had a lovely day out with James and our small group, visiting the well-trodden and less trodden paths of the Great Ocean Road. My son and I enjoyed the small group experience, the attention to detail (great coffee and snacks) and wonderful lunch. James’ was very friendly and knowledgeable and the tour was not at all rushed. We got back to the city in good time for dinner. Thank you for the relaxing tour!

It was an awsome experience that was well worth the money in value. James was very hospitable, kind, knowledgeable, safe and took very good care of everyone. He offered us fruits and coffees when we stopped to rest. We will be back for sure with friends, thanks again James! Joe & Massy.

This trip to the Twelve Apostles was our second airbnb experience with the Hike and Seek tour group and it was amazing, just like our first one to the Mornington Peninsula. This trip is a must-do! Every stop on the trip is a unique activity and kept us thoroughly engaged. The van was comfortable and perfect for a road trip like this one. James was a warm, friendly, knowledgeable and easy-going host/guide. Everyone in the group including him were super chill and so easy to talk to. No stress, no dramas, just an extremely happy day, exploring the gorgeous Great Ocean Road and so many things in between! Don’t miss out on this fantastic experience! :)

Such a good tour from start to finish! The facts and storytelling during the drive to the apostles made the journey so much more enjoyable and the itinerary was perfect for avoiding the groups and seeing as much as possible without ever having to wait or queue.

I HAD AN AMAZING TIME! Weather was perfect, company was very nice, and the ocean/rocks/trees were breathtaking. I felt so elated when I got home. Shane was our tour guide. I think he did an excellent job in showing us around, giving us historical tidbits and answering any questions. He even threw in an extra stop for us since there was enough time for it. There was a bit of a hiccup with lunch (the farm owner only messaged on day itself re: their availability). Good thing there were fruits and some snacks on board! I love that Hike and Seek group has a very good local/inside knowledge on the place, it makes the experience feel truly unique. :-)! Thank you Shane for the wonderful day and for letting me play my hodgepodge of music on the way home (Beach Boys, Yo La Tengo, Jack Johnson, Beach Fossils, Robyn, M83, Houses, and BTS - in case you were curious of the few kpop songs I played hahaha). I’m unsure if my biggest regret is hydrating too much or not using the last toilet stop, HAHAHA. I had to hold for about thirty minutes on the way home and that was SO uncomfortable. I didn’t get to say bye properly to the tour group as I had to waddle to Flinders Station already. Which brings me to probably the bigger regret - not getting the names/numbers of the ladies I toured with, they were incredibly nice travellers to be with and I would love to make friends with them. Some of my takeaways: - timing plays a part in the experience - we went on a day when there were no droves of tourists in buses - weather can be unpredictable, so the other stuff listed in packing list may or may not be used (eg rain jacket), but still good to bring them - I’m glad I had a fanny pack for my essentials so I can leave my backpack in the van - would recommend to bring own snacks/sandwiches in case places are full/unavailable for lunch or snack stops - MAXIMISE THE TOILET STOPS - as someone who just moved to Melbourne alone and doesn’t have a car yet or doesn’t have nearby friends with a car, booking with Hike and Seek is the best way for me to see the great sights near Melbourne. Will definitely be booking with them again (I’m eyeing Wilson Prom)
