Co będziecie robić

Join me in a relaxing hike to the top of a mountain in beautiful Harriman State Park.

I will meet you at the designated time at the Tuxedo Train Station, Tuxedo NY. Then i will drive you for 10 min by car to the trail-head. During our ride, let's talk about the area including history and local legends as well as some basic hiking tips. As we enter the park, you will get a preview of the nature that you are about to be immersed in.

Now it is time for the hike! It takes about an hour to reach our destination, an old shelter on top of the mountain. For the first 30 min, the trail slowly ascends up the mountain to the first view, beginning with a gradual incline, perfect for a warm up as we pass 3 different giant rock formations. After about 15 min, the trail becomes a bit steeper with some rock scrambles. We will be walking on trails that are made up of dirt, rocks, leaves, roots and muddy areas. Once we get to the 1st summit, you will be treated to stunning views of the area. I will point out points of interest as we continue the next mile atop the mountain to the shelter which will take about 30 minutes. The next mile meanders through wooded areas and wide open spaces

We will take breaks along the way and sit on rocks and logs to rest and replenish. When we reach the shelter, we will relax before heading back to the car where i will bring you back to the train station
Other things to note
This is an intermediate hiking trail that takes about 3 hours to complete. I can change the trails to depending on your experience and interests. Participants should be in decent physical shape. I included enough time for breaks to rest, relax, replenish and meditate. Contact me with any questions

I have been hiking Harriman since I was a child. I have covered every trail that is on the map (and some that aren't) There is so much to see in this area and I would love to share the natural beauty that the Hudson Valley has to offer with you.

I believe that a lot of people have lost their connection with nature. A connection that is vital to the well being of every individual. I want to help people reconnect with nature because i experience the positive results every time i step onto the trails and i want to have an opportunity to share this special experience with others. Physically, mentally and spiritually, there are so many benefits to nature therapy such as spending an afternoon on a beautiful mountaintop.

Gdzie będziecie

Harriman State Park, located in lower Hudson Valley, NY, hosts over 200 miles of hiking trails, 31 lakes, and over 47,000 acres of land to explore. You will be guided through beautiful wooded areas to the top of a mountain where you will walk over the "baldies", giant boulders that make up a natural pathway. You will notice the noise of civilization being replaced with the symphony of nature as crickets and cicadas sing a rare and different tune

Amazing experience! Glenn is very knowledgeable and experienced. Felt safe with him and appreciated his hiking tips and the personal touch he gives on his tours. He shows you all of his favorite spots. I came to love Harriman also and will definitely be back to do some of the other trails. Also, his guidance really came in handy the next day when i went off on my own hike in the catskills. Was able to read the markers by myself! Highly recommend! Word of caution for those staying in the Catskills: it’s a bit of a hike (ha! on 17 or the thruway) so best to book on a travel date and not mid-trip.

Glenn was amazing ! I have to admit that I was a bit nervous, and anxious to go hiking in the middle of unfamiliar grounds with a total stranger. After talking to Glenn my anxiety and nervousness went out the window. Glenn is very nice, nature enthusiast, and knows his stuff. It felt so good to get away from the bustling concrete jungle, and immerse thyself with nature. This experience will help you combat stress, anxiety, able to ground yourself, and reconnect with the natural world around you. Also the oxygen taste a trillion times better there lol. Just do it ! Book the experience, you won’t be disappointed. Carpe diem!

Glenn really knows his hiking trail, and the spots he pick is very beautiful he knows the trails that are common/uncommon and He is pretty chill. Definitely going to be booking him next week with my friends. This is probably the best hike in NY/NJ area. He even brought extra spring water for the walk. He is also very considerate, friendly, easy going and good at listening

Glenn is an amazing tour guide! He knows each of the Harriman State Park’s hiking trails and is very knowledgeable about the park’s wildlife, history, and nature. He was waiting for me by 10am sharp at the Tuxedo Train Station and showed me around for an hour overtime to make sure we had a great experience. Definitely recommend booking a hiking tour with him!

This was an absolutely incredible experience! We had such a blessed day with Glenn. It is evident that he is deeply passionate about what he does—both hiking and also sharing the wonders of nature with others. Glenn went above and beyond for us, taking us through some of his favorite trail areas and bringing us to utterly breathtaking views. He even provided a backpack and water for us to have throughout our day and extended our hike because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Glenn was full of insight about the park as well as local history. We thoroughly enjoyed conversing with him, and he kindly shared a range of local recommendations to enjoy throughout our current stay and future visits. We thought we’d be having a beautiful hike, but instead we had an absolutely awe-inspiring day of soaking up the wonders and treasures of nature with someone deeply passionate about hiking/nature, full of rich insight, and tremendously personable and kind. We will be returning for another hike with Glenn as soon as possible, and we highly recommend that you do the same!!
