After meeting, we will take you to Omoide Yokocho (“Memory lane”) , narrow streets full of Yakitori(skewers) shops and restaurants. Then, we will explore Kabukicho-area, one of the safest red-light district in the world with Robot restaurants and Godzilla head. Last spot will be our highlight “Golden-gai” where more than 200 tiny bars crammed into the miniature backstreets. You can enjoy the unique atmosphere.
After this experience, you may continue enjoying Shinjuku nightlife by yourself by following your guide’s recommendations. Please be advised that some local spots accept cash only.

Shinjuku is one of the biggest entertain and drinking town in Japan. When I worked at an advertising agency, I drank every day with colleagues and business partners. In 2013, after 8 years in advertising, I took a year-long trip around the world, visiting 26 countries, to find inspiration. Many locals showed me deeper areas. When I returned home, I started a travel agency to share local perspectives with travelers. I think you'll enjoy the town while walking, and learning how Japanese think and live. I met with the older gentleman. Unfortunately I forgot his name. I currently live in Okinawa so I am somewhat familiar with Japanese culture but Tokyo is different. He was able to answer some questions I’ve had for a while, recommend places and over all very helpful and polite as is the Japanese culture. His English is great having learned it in his school days. Kazu was fantastic. We are a family of 5 and had a great time on this tour. He was knowledgable, friendly, patient and courteous. The tour goes by quickly but not rushed, and is full of information. I would recommend doing this as soon as you arrive as there is so much to see you will undoubtedly be back to the area if you have the time.
