Co będziecie robić

We will meet you in the park adjacent to the Tweed Heads Visitor Information Centre in Wharf Street, Tweed Heads. This is on the public transport route and adjacent to car parking.

We will then take a 2-minute drive up to the Point Danger headland, grab a coffee at the famous ‘Cafe D’bar’ and walk over to the Border Monument and the Captain Cook Memorial. This monument is situated right on the actual NSW & QLD border, where you can stand with one foot in each state for a great photo opportunity - overlooking the world-famous surf breaks of Snapper Rocks & Duranbah Beach, with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop! We can also see the entrance to the Tweed River.

Captain James Cook, who charted the east coast of Australia in 1770 named both Point Danger and Mt Warning to warn future sailors of the perils close to the coastline.

Next, stop is the iconic Cape Byron Lighthouse, which is the most easterly point of mainland Australia. We’ll have 360 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, endless beaches stretching north and south and also gaze out westwards over the rich green hinterland. From this vantage point it’s very common to see dolphins frolicking below in the ocean.

You'll then board the world's first Solar-Train for a short trip to our lunch destination.

After this we'll visit Mt Warning, Sugar Cane Fields & Tumbulgum Tavern for some lesser-known history.

This has been the best experience I’ve ever done. I felt like I was part of their family from the first minute. Lovely couple who provide top quality service and knowledge. Very warm, easy going and flexible. They know all the best places for food, shopping and pictures! I have truly enjoyed my last day on the Gold Coast discovering the southern side with amazing company and sharing life knowledge and experiences.

Had an absolutely wonderful day with Deb and Glenn. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and fascination. It's hard to imagine a better way to spend a day in this beautiful part of the world. Really felt like a local - there's no way I would have made it to all these places on my own.

Deb’s tour was great fun and we visited all the places we wanted to, including a couple of extra’s. After our Byron Bay lunch, the rainforest walk below Mt Warning was just so beautiful and peaceful, and not too strenuous either. Only half an hour later, we were sipping on a cold beer watching the river flow past us. Highly recommend this tour and love the options Deb makes available, such as a hand-made cheese-tasting, a choice of riverside taverns, distillery or even the Tweed Regional Art Gallery. Thanks Deb for a relaxed tour and the great company.

We met up with Deb right on time and a few minutes later we were into our delicious complimentary coffee and checking out the famous Snapper Rocks surfing spot from the Point Danger Lookout. We also stood right on the State Border Monument with one foot in each state! So then we were off to Byron Bay to finally check Cape Byron Lighthouse off our bucket-list! After soaking up the incredible 360º views from Cape Byron, we visited the Lighthouse Marine Museum then had an awesome Gelato at the nearby Lighthouse Cafe…and of course got heaps more great pics! Deb gave us all the time we needed which was great. We then headed down to Byron Bay township for a couple of hours shopping and exploring some great little shops in the back streets.   We then met up again in town to take a ride on the world’s-first Solar Train out to our lunch venue, the Sun Cafe. This was a seriously good meal, especially with a locally brewed beer to wash it down - great value! Our next bucket-list item was to walk the Lyrebird Track at the base of Mt Warning. This track crosses a creek and then winds it’s way under the rainforest canopy of palms and eucalypt trees and was just amazing - so glad we did that! Deb squeezed in a little surprise on the way to the rainforest….a quick stopover and cheese-tasting at Tweed Valley Farmhouse Cheeses, plus a barista-made coffee and a friendly chat with the lovely owners of this dairy farm. Bonus!! After Mt Warning, we headed towards the township of Murwillumbah and we had the choice of visiting the famous Tweed Regional Gallery, the recently opened Husk Gin Distillery or the historic Tumbulgum Tavern. We chose to sample the famous Ink Gin at the Husk Gin Distillery on the banks of the Tweed River and it was amazing!! Thanks so much Deb…we had a great time and crammed so much into the day, but weren’t rushed at all. We recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the Coast and  Hinterland of this region in comfort (loved the chewy surprises in the car-door handles to
