Cinque Terre is not only natural beauty but culture. After all, it is the people who have lived here that shaped this rocky and barren land. My tour will focus on the culture and artistic legacy of three Cinque Terre towns. In small groups maximum six, I will provide an overview of the history of each town in relation to the general history of the area, the wine tradition and gastronomic specialties of the area.
We will meet at Manarola Train Station and board on the Cinque Terre Express train to Monterosso the last village of Cinque Terre. In Monterosso, we will visit the Capuchin convent with its stunning views over the gulf of Cinque Terre, the church of San Giovanni Batista, the statue of Giant Neptune and old historic center.
Next we will stop at Vernazza, voted as one of the most beautiful village of Italy where we will stroll around the port in the historic center and finally, we will arrive at Manarola where we will visit the church of St Lorenzo and we will wander the old town and finish at the punto Bonfiglio with the amazing view over Manarola. After this, you can take the train back to La Spezia or you can swim or have something to eat.
During the visit to the towns, there will be enough personal time to wander around, take pictures, shop, have a coffee.
