Co będziecie robić

Day 1
Immerse yourself in a Tuscan dream as we meet in the village of San Casciano in Val di Pesa and we drive you to your home for the evening - a beautifully restored 500 year old stone Tuscan country house.

Warmed with wine and a selection of locally made cheeses, you'll sit before the open fire and share the tale of buying and restoring the Tuscan villa.
We'll discuss the art and skill of restoring a traditional Italian country house. We'll share all- the fun, the tears, the drama! How to maintain its charm while making a home of luxurious comfort.

We'll give you tips from aesthetic themes, working with local artisans and sourcing furniture from antique markets or easy ways to age new furniture, so it looks right.
We can also chat about how to ensure choice of colours, materials and furnishings are in ‘keeping’ with the aesthetic.
Other things to note
Dietary requirements can be catered for with notice within reason.
Sat around the kitchen table, enjoy participating as much as you feel in the preparation of the traditional Tuscan dinner and hear more about local wines and wonderful gourmet "slow" foods. Try your hand yourself in the kitchen at the Tuscan classics before we tuck in the delicious meal.
Other things to note
Likewise for all activities, please enquire about dietary requirements in advance, menus may vary according to the season and day as it is fresh, local produce.
We'll head out into the garden and the crisp night air where you can either stroll around or lie beside the pool to gaze at the stars. If you're lucky you might see a shooting star!
There are some Italian traditions connected to the stars, such as San Lorenzo you can learn about as well as which constellations to spot.
Other things to note
Of course if you are cold or prefer to retire to bed you are free to do as you like in the comfort of the home.

Day 2
Well enjoy a typical Tuscan fresh healthy breakfast, with a hot espresso.
We’ll teach you how to make an authentic espresso, Italian style, the difference between the machines and the traditional 'Moka' and how to choose the best coffee.
Other things to note
Please let us know any dietary requirements.
After breakfast we'll step our into the Tuscan countryside and enjoy an invigorating walk through the forest paths and meadows.
You'll learn about the art of foraging, a traditional activity very much alive in the food scene of cities as much as the countryside. You'll learn how to spot edible herbs and plants as well as fruits according to the season and how they can be incorporated into your cooking.
We'll look out for any wildlife along the way.
Other things to note
The walk will not be challenging but appropriate footwear for the outdoors is advised and there may be some slopes.
We'll depart for Florence in the car and after a half hour drive begin a unique walk through the charming artisanal neighbourhood of the city centre. This is on the other bank of the river and is full of hidden studios of the city's best and most exclusive artisans. You'll discover their workshops and learn about their crafts from perfumers to art restorers.
You'll also visit Florence’s most interesting and unique homewares, restoration, antique shops.
Other things to note
Lunch is not included so you can take whatever takes your fancy around the city, and we'll have plenty of recommendations. Florence is small so you'll also have the chance to have a look at any nearby sites including the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio if you wish.
You'll get to visit a Renaissance palace in Florence to see onsite restoration and learn about the process of restoring he walls, floors and paintings as we continue to meet the artisans and artists producing brilliant works and homewares along our route.
We'll quench our thirst and relax on a stunning rooftop with a classic Italian aperitivo as we reflect and say our goodbyes. We'll indulge in a 'Spritz' or other cocktail or drink with canapes and nibbles on a beautiful roof terrace overlooking the charming skyline of Florence.
