If you are looking for a truly authentic Icelandic adventure, then this is it! During your stay at the retreat you will have horseback riding lessons, you will ride on the largest black beach in Iceland, you will be served local organically grown food and you will have a new best friend - your horse!
Upon your arrival you will get your horse that you will take care of for the next 24 hrs. Together you will take lessons, ride in the beautiful nature of Iceland and spend time just being friends.
The retreat is designed to give you a relaxed insight into the Icelandic horse life and to experience the Icelandic nature on the back of an Icelandic horse. You do not need to be an experienced rider to participate in the retreat.
During wintertime (October-March) we have the additional bonus of the Northern lights that we get to experience if the weather conditions are correct.

My name is Hörður, born and raised in Iceland, I have been working with horses since childhood. I would like to invite you to my farm on the South Coast where we are going to ride the largest black beach in Iceland, meditate and look for Northern Lights during the winter months. I am currently hosting Iceland´s most popular Airbnb experience but now I would like to give you my guests even greater experience by staying with me at my beautiful farm in the heard of the South coast of Iceland.

Make sure you bring proper waterproof clothes, GLOVES, and good outdoor shoes - preferably boots. The tour is for all levels of riders, however if you are afraid of horses then this tour is not for you. In order to ride the Icelandic horse you should be in good health and not overweight.
