Manly's only snorkel tour on airbnb that will plant a tree in your honour. We are also the only tour that provides you with all the gear you need to have the best snorkel experience. We include fins/flippers (helps you explore and enjoy the adventure), choice of wetsuits or rash vest for sun protection, and range of masks including full face and prescription masks.
The full Manly coastal experience
Before we hit the water we will take a guided headland walk for 30min. On the walk you will learn about the Cabbage Tree Aquatic Reserve, waves, surfing and assess the ocean conditions. You will learn snorkeling water safety from your qualified guide who is trained by Australian Professional Ocean life guard association (APOLA).
Then we will hit the water for a 1 hour snorkeling adventure. We have done this experience for 8 years and this is the perfect amount of time in the water for most people. All your gear will locked safely in our vehicle while we snorkel.
On the tour we will keep you safe, while we guide you around the protected area. Your guide will take photos from the tour are provided for free at end of tour on to your phone.
Other things to note
You can lock you valuables in our car. Don't wear make up and put sun screen just before tour as it may cause your mask to fog. We provide anti fog for masks so you have the best experience possible

At the moment it is Summer. Water is warming up we will soon get tropical species arriving with the east Aus current. Most people are still wearing wetsuits. The sea of Sydney has seasons as the water temp changes. The Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve (Shelly Beach), is a a place to unwind, relax and clear the mind. The no take protected marine area came into effect 2002.

The snorkelling trip was super insightful and Damien explained everything really well and helped shake any nerves we had. I would 100% recommend snorkelling here because it is a beautiful location and our guide obviously was really knowledgeable about the environment and marine animals.

This experience was incredible. The original date was cancelled due to the NSW floods but Damien monitored the weather and was flexible in rescheduling for another date.
My guide, Sam, has unprecedented knowledge of the local area and marine environment. As a qualified scuba diver, I was surprised that this snorkelling experience was one of my favourite swim/dives in Australia! Unlike scuba, we could easily remove our snorkels and chat on the surface about what we saw. Sam pointed out a huge range of fish and corals, including a transitioning grouper fish, a rare fiddler ray and some beautiful schools of zebra fish.

Our guide was Jeremy and we were in very good hands for the whole experience. After some sightseeing from the scenic walk and a quick safety briefing, we donned our gear and started snorkeling. The pace was perfect, and Jeremy did a great job of spotting and explaining many fish/plant species. He also took a lot of excellent photographs of our dive! We definitely recommend this tour and would do it again next time we’re in Sydney.
