Afternoon tea with the Alpacas
You will be warmly greeted and shown to your picnic table (in the winter months you can eat in our cosy warm cabin) ready to meet the Alpacas. This is an afternoon tea with a difference, you will enjoy a short talk by your host on alpacas so you learn a bit about them, then you will be able to enjoy your afternoon tea whilst the alpacas graze close by. This will consist of a selection of sandwiches and cakes and a pot of tea or coffee. You will be able to enjoy your afternoon tea with the alpacas as they will graze right up close to your table so keep an eye on your cake! A great opportunity to take photos, get to know more about Alpacas whilst enjoying an afternoon tea. This is in a peaceful setting so a chance to relax away from crowds, enjoy some quiet time and be close to nature with Alpacas for company. After your afternoon tea you will be able to feed the alpacas so this is a unique experience and so much more than just an afternoon tea. Other things to note In the winter months, you will be able to eat in our warm and cosy cabin. Afterwards you will be able to feed our alpacas. Well behaved children are welcome, however we are not a petting zoo and is not suitable for children who want to run, scream and shout. This is a peaceful but fun experience.
Exploring the Jurassic Coast on foot
Everyone has heard of The Jurassic Coast but my tours will enable you to explore, enjoy and understand this wonderful stretch of coastline. Visit remote beaches and sheer cliffs, find fossils, walk in the footsteps of giant dinosaurs, learn about the fantastic geological story told by the landscape, spot an abundance of wildlife and hear stories of smugglers and shipwrecks. My tours will take you to a variety of places depending on group size, weather and the time of year. Some tours include the iconic sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door whereas others visit world famous Kimmeridge Bay or little known Chapmans Pool. Regardless of the route I guarantee to take you off the beaten track for plenty of stunning views and countless wonderful photo opportunities. I recommend bringing a picnic lunch and drinks so we can spend more time out and about. Tours start and finish either at Lulworth Cove or Worth Matravers, near Swanage so please check the meeting information carefully. Public transport is sparse in this area so please check that you can get to the starting point before booking. I run my tours all year round and am happy to create a bespoke tour or adapt and schedule a tour for a private group, for young families and on particular dates - please get in touch directly. I look forward to meeting you all soon.
Night Hike the Jurassic Coast
There is so little time or opportunity nowadays to experience the countryside and coast at night, away from the blinding glare of street lights and vehicles. My Night Hike on the Jurassic Coast takes you to a quiet part of coastline that is completely free of all light pollution and rich in wildlife. We will follow well maintained tracks and paths from the village of Worth Matravers in Purbeck along the ancient Priests Way and down winding valleys to the wave-washed rocks at Seacombe or Winspit Coves. From here we walk along a fenced clifftop path back to the Square and Compass pub in Worth Matravers and on the way I tell tales of the shipwrecked sailors and smugglers that haunt the surrounding cliffs and valleys Along the way there is a possibility of seeing a variety of nocturnal wildlife such as deer, badgers, bats and owls. If we are lucky the sky will be clear of clouds and we can enjoy some wonderful star gazing. Other things to note The route follows well maintained paths and tracks for the entire route but it is often VERY muddy and slippery so please bring suitable footwear with good grippy soles. Bright and comfortable head torches can be provided but bring you own if you wish.
Paddle Boarding & Fitness Adventures
The one hour paddle board session will see us meet at the beach, start with a short H&S briefing before teaching you the basics. We then move on to the water before refining skills and start to navigate along the coastline. The basic experience lasts one hour at £30pp Other things to note Any questions, drop me an email: jurassicsupfitness@gmail.com

Hiking with Pack Pony & Picnic in Dorset
You'll meet us - both human and pony hosts - to prepare you for your adventure walking pack ponies through the glorious Dorset countryside. We go through an introduction about the ponies - their backgrounds, personalities and how to work with them safely, then show you how to pack our day's supplies onto them before setting off along an ancient drovers' route right into Dorset AONB. You'll lead the ponies as much or as little as you're comfortable with, stopping to take in the view whenever the scenery demands a photo, which can be quite often! We know the area well and have plenty of stories about its history as well as knowledge about the nature all around you. We stop for a break and a picnic of a delicious traditional Ploughman's lunch (which includes a cider in this apple rich corner of the country!) made in local farms & bakeries. It's then time to head towards the Dorset Gap - the route of ancient smugglers, before going down the ridgeway and towards home. Once back, we show you how to unpack the ponies, help with their after care & give them their dinner before a final goodbye and release them into their field. You'll leave feeling tired, but restored, reconnected and inspired.
Climb Dorset's Coast
Portland is home to some of the best Rock Climbing in Dorset. Climbing is becoming more popular sport since its debut in the 2021 Olympics! You’ll get to experience one of Portland’s stunning venues and learn how to climb. After a short walk to the Crag (climbing venue), you’ll be kitted up with a helmet and harness. Everyone will take part in a short safety briefing and learn how to belay each other. Afterwards, everyone will get the chance to climb and belay each other. We will be Top-Roping, this means that the rope will run through the top of the wall, perfect if your not keen on heights. The crags are great for picnics and photo opportunities. If you’d like to bring your dog, please let us know as some Crags are a bit tough for paws. All under 18’s need to be accompanied by a participating adult. Please contact us if you’d like to bring a spectator along. Please let us know if you’re interested in a group booking. There are also crags around Swanage, some with quarries to explore. We also have the capacity to run abseiling sessions if you feel up to the challenge!
Pony Experience -a walk in rural Dorset with the ponies
We meet and greet at our home in Piddlehinton, Dorset before walking a short distance up the green lane to the ponies' field. You will then learn about safe handling of equines and how to brush and prepare them for the walk, as well as getting the feed ready for their return. We set off through the gorgeous thatched village and meander upwards, along the bridleways until we reach the ridge of the Piddle Valley. From here in every direction, the views are of open rolling fields, woodlands and some heath. Although the climb is relatively gentle, on clear days you can see the Isle of Wight which is about 50 miles away! We continue along here for about a mile, giving you plenty of opportunity for photographs and pit stops before the path takes a turn downhill and we head back to the village. The final stretch takes us through a ford (bridge available) and back along a short stretch of road until we're back at base. You will then learn how to check them over, do any brushing/washing that is needed and can give them their feed before turning them loose. Now the ponies needs have been met, we have light, locally produced refreshments such as cheese scones or Dorset apple cake with tea, coffee or even a cider to quench your thirst!
Hands on Beekeeping experience and lunch
Come and meet the Bees! As an enthusiastic bee keeper I'll welcome you to my Apiary in the beautiful Dorset countryside a short walk from the sea. This is the perfect experience if you're thinking of becoming a beekeeper, or just have an interest. I have been introducing friends to the Bees and already offer beekeeping experiences to young people taking their Duke of Edinburgh award. I thought I should open up the experience to everyone! We will start the experience in our beautiful country garden with a refreshing drink, and I will share my practical experience with you. We will spend time at the actual hives in the Apiary, (bee suits are provided) and weather permitting we will get hands on with the Bees. I would love to inspire you to keep your own colonies and can offer advice on how to proceed. We really recommend enrolling on a course as there is so much to learn, but this taster session will get you hooked and I’m happy to share my own experiences with you. Other things to note You’ll be wearing a beesuit and it is very unlikely that you will be stung, however If you suffer from bad reactions to stings we would not recommend this experience.
A family adventure walk in the dark
This is a fun and adventurous exploration of the countryside and coastline of Purbeck. It is made all the more exciting by venturing forth after dark though no need to be afraid as this adventure makes being out at night fun and enjoyable. Our adventure starts in the quaint village of Worth Matravers but we are soon heading off the beaten track via the ancient Priests Way. I can take you to a quarry where a series of amazing dinosaur footprint fossils can be seen by torchlight (or moonlight!); at night we can imagine that the dinosaurs are still lurking in the shadows before we discover the secretive Seacombe Valley. This valley is a real wildlife haven and depending on the time of year we can often spot deer, foxes, badgers, bats and even glow worms. To help us spot the wildlife we will play some great listening, watching and silent walking games. Finally we reach the sea and explore the deserted quarries at Seacombe Cove, a past haunt of smugglers and still inhabited by the ghosts of shipwrecked sailors. If we are lucky and the sky is clear of clouds then the stargazing is amazing as we are miles from any street lights and light pollution. From here we retrace our steps up part of the valley before the final steep hill back to our starting point in the village.
